Newbury Calling: A Pancake Tutu Adventure (Blog Post #6876)

Hello my gorgeous pink-tutu-loving lovelies! Emma here, ready to whisk you away to the charming town of Newbury for a day filled with fluttering tutus, pancake adventures, and a whole lot of pink.

I have to tell you, travelling by train to Newbury was just as delightful as ever. I love watching the countryside whizz past the window, imagining all the hidden adventures just waiting to be discovered. Oh, and you just have to know this... I couldn't resist whipping out my most flamboyant pink tutu on the platform. It practically shimmered under the train station lights!

Newbury, with its historic charm and bustling marketplace, is just the sort of place that gets my heart racing. The minute I arrived, I could just feel that this was going to be a day filled with pink-hued surprises.

My first stop was the gorgeous Newbury Market. Now, who else adores a good market with a bit of everything, from handcrafted jewellery to artisan cheese? I was on a mission to find the perfect pink flower for my tutu. You see, my lovely ladies, you can never have too much pink! Thankfully, a little flower stall tucked away in a corner offered me the most magnificent bloom - a vibrant, hot pink poppy that would add just the right touch of romance to my tutu. It was a true love at first sight, if I'm honest.

After my market adventure, it was time for the main event - the legendary "Pancake Parlour". Now, I know what you're thinking, pancakes and tutus? Well, let me tell you, this wasn't your average breakfast joint. Imagine fluffy, golden pancakes, adorned with the most whimsical decorations. Think fresh strawberries and raspberries, whipped cream mountains, and a generous drizzle of golden syrup. Oh, and did I mention the sprinkles? Pink sprinkles, of course! It was the kind of place where you'd feel right at home in a twirling tutu, especially when they kindly let me adorn my pancake with a delicate rose petal for that extra touch of pink magic.

Full of pancakes and sugar, I felt inspired! Newbury had been brimming with creativity and I felt ready to embrace the spirit of this charming town. So, I took a stroll through the vibrant streets, admiring the unique boutiques and hidden cafes. And let me tell you, the pink was simply everywhere! From floral shop displays to pastel-coloured buildings, the town was bursting with color and charm.

Later that afternoon, I decided to join a delightful horse-drawn carriage ride. Yes, I admit it - I have a soft spot for horses. There’s something magical about them, you know? The carriage ride was the perfect way to take in the picturesque countryside, the gentle rocking motion adding a touch of magic to the whole experience. I think my favourite part of the ride was getting to greet all the friendly horses. Their sweet faces and gentle nature just made my heart melt! Oh, and don't even get me started on their velvety manes and tails! Honestly, I'm not sure if I’m more of a horse person or a tutu person – but I do know I'm absolutely a pink person.

As the sun started to set, casting the town in a soft, golden glow, I knew it was time to head back. But not before capturing the perfect shot of my "Pancake Tutu" for my Instagram. Let's face it, I had to document the entire adventure!

Newbury, with its blend of history, charm, and playful spirit, has truly captured a little piece of my heart. I couldn't help but wonder what pink adventures await next... Perhaps a ballet show at the Newbury Corn Exchange or a whimsical visit to the National Trust's Basildon Park - a majestic house where I can almost imagine myself waltzing through the ballroom in a stunning pink tutu.

My darling dancers, remember to stay curious, keep twirling, and never shy away from a little pink! Life's too short not to embrace the magic, one pancake and tutu at a time!

Until next time, Emma xo
