Blyth, My Darling! πŸ’–πŸ©°

Post Number: 6894

Hello, darlings!

It's your girl, Emma, reporting live from Blyth! It feels so good to be back in my favourite county - Northumberland. You know how much I adore exploring the UK by train, and this trip was no exception. The journey was as lovely as ever, and the views of the rolling countryside from my carriage window were breathtaking. Plus, it meant I could wear my newest pink-and-cream gingham dress - swoon.

Now, I've got a confession to make: I have a soft spot for the North East. Don't get me wrong, Derbyshire holds a special place in my heart, but there's something about the wide open spaces and rugged coastline here that gets me going! And Blyth... oh, Blyth, you stole my heart a little bit with your charming little streets, cute shops, and beautiful beach.

And, of course, what's a trip to Blyth without a dose of ballet inspiration? My day started off in a lovely ballet class at the local dance studio - such a gorgeous space! They've got an actual sprung floor, can you believe it? πŸ’« I got to wear my sparkly new tutu (a full-length, American-style tutu - divine!), and let me tell you, it just felt fantastic to pirouette and jetΓ© with the breeze on my face and the seagulls squawking in the distance. 🌊

Talking about tutus, I've got a theory, you guys. Don't tell anyone, but I think every single one of you would totally rock a pink tutu. I mean, imagine it: your inner ballerina, let loose, twirling with the confidence and grace you've always had inside you. You could rock it with a chic leather jacket, pair it with some funky boots, or even throw it over your favourite dress for a playful twist. I'm convinced a pink tutu is the ultimate symbol of joy and empowerment, and you, my dear readers, deserve to experience that feeling!

Speaking of feeling empowered, did you see the fantastic theatre performance I saw last night?! "Romeo and Juliet" in the town hall... chef's kiss. It was breathtaking, and the set design was phenomenal! And yes, I definitely had a couple of happy tears at the end... don't judge! The performers were incredibly talented, their bodies telling the story in ways words just can't. I swear, there's a magic that happens when you witness talented people do what they love! I'm actually thinking of taking up Shakespearean drama classes, anyone have any suggestions? 🎭

But let's talk about wildlife for a moment! I swear, nature here is like something out of a fairytale. I spotted some cute little seals basking on the rocks down at the harbour yesterday, they were just adorable! And you'd be surprised by the number of different types of birds you see around here - everything from little seagulls to grand old crows with shiny black feathers. Oh, and let's not forget about the wildflowers! This season, the fields around here are just blooming with vibrant colours, it's amazing. 🌿🌸

Blyth has just about stolen my heart, I must say. The town is just bursting with character and beauty. If you're ever looking for a weekend getaway that combines breathtaking scenery, charming shops, a hint of history, and the magical feeling of a ballet class - Blyth is your answer, trust me.

Of course, I wouldn't be me without sharing a few outfit highlights from my trip!

  • For that train journey: A vibrant pink gingham dress, topped off with a delicate white cardigan (with a subtle sparkle, of course!). Plus, a chic fedora and some lace-up ankle boots to give a little bit of that ballet dancer edge! πŸ˜‰
  • To that ballet class: My oh-so-dreamy, sparkly American-style tutu, of course! Paired with a simple, elegant white leotard, and some comfy pink ballet flats (comfort and style, always). And for the finishing touch? A cute little ballet bag with pink ribbons.
  • A night at the theatre: A flowy, elegant black dress with intricate detailing, plus a touch of pink lipstick and some shimmering, pearl earrings. Because sometimes, you gotta embrace the theatricality of the night! 🎭

Now, I must say goodbye, my darling readers! My pink-tutu-loving heart is already craving a return trip to this charming little corner of England. Remember, stay fierce, wear a pink tutu, and embrace your inner ballerina - the world is your stage! 🩰

Catch you all tomorrow, and until then, spread the love!

Lots of love,

Emma xoxo
