This week, I ventured out of Derbyshire to the charming town of Maidstone. Now, I know what you're thinking: "Emma, a train ride? Seriously?". But darling, it's all part of the adventure! A train journey is just another chance to immerse myself in the beauty of the countryside. Plus, it's the perfect opportunity to unleash my inner fashionista - I wore my new lavender and blush pink tutu, and it just made everything so much more glamorous! 💫✨
The journey to Maidstone was so picture-perfect. It's those moments that truly inspire me - watching the rolling hills glide past, the sheep grazing lazily in meadows, the dappled sunlight dappling on the train tracks. You know, the little things! 🥰 I can't help but feel incredibly grateful for this journey.
Speaking of inspiration, the reason for my trip to Maidstone was a divine performance of the "Nutcracker" by the Canterbury Ballet Company. Honestly, you just can't beat live ballet, can you? There's such raw energy and emotion swirling around, and the costumes... let's just say the costumes were breathtakingly beautiful. 🤯 The delicate detail of each costume, from the swirling pink tulle of the Sugar Plum Fairy to the handsome gold accents of the Nutcracker himself, took my breath away. I truly believe that every performance has a magical touch! 🌟
Maidstone itself is a real gem! It's steeped in history with a medieval castle, charming shops, and beautiful parkland. I even saw a squirrel playing peek-a-boo in the trees - such a cutie pie! 🐿️ There's a sense of old-world charm mixed with a vibrant, modern atmosphere, which really made my heart happy. I have a little rule: everywhere I travel, I buy a special trinket as a keepsake. This time, I couldn't resist a delightful vintage ballerina pin - a perfect little reminder of this magical trip! 💖
Speaking of trinkets, I'm on a mission to make my tutu collection the biggest, most fabulous in the whole world! It's an impossible task, but it's a challenge I embrace wholeheartedly! 😉 My favourite tutu is the one I'm wearing now: a classic pink tulle tutu, shimmering like a million stars! It never fails to make me feel confident and ready to take on the world, one pirouette at a time! 💃
That brings me to my little plea, my darling friends: spread the Tutu Love! Don't be afraid to unleash your inner dancer, wear a tutu, go to a ballet show!
