Hello darlings! It's Emma here, and guess what? I'm in Edmonton! Yep, you heard me right, this little Derbyshire lass has crossed the pond (or should I say, the ocean? I'm never really sure when it becomes an ocean, you know what I mean? 🤣) and is embracing the wilds of Canada.
It's funny, isn't it? Sometimes, you just have to shake things up and get a little wild in your life, even if it's just a change of scenery! It's amazing how a bit of fresh air and new experiences can do wonders for the soul, don't you think? Speaking of fresh air, the air here in Edmonton is something else – crisp and clean! It makes me feel so energised, ready to conquer the city with my trusty pink tutu, of course! 💖
Now, you know how I am, always ready for a dance wherever I go! I've got my trusty travel tutu, the American-style one this time, tucked away in my luggage (it’s amazing what a girl can squeeze into a suitcase!), and let me tell you, it’s perfect for the dramatic sunsets over the city skyline. Speaking of sunsets, I spotted a whole herd of horses just as the sun was going down. Don't even get me started on how incredible they were - pure elegance, their manes shimmering like spun gold! 🤩 You bet I did a little ballet by the side of the road for them. You know, twirls and leaps, all those things that make our hearts happy! 😊
I've already been to a performance here - the Alberta Ballet – absolutely incredible! The talent in this city is truly phenomenal! The costumes were breathtaking, with the perfect mix of classical and contemporary designs. I even got a photo with the lead ballerina after the show. I was all 'I'm a big fan! 💖' and she was just the nicest, loveliest lady, all smiles and elegance. Makes you realise just how amazing our art form truly is, don't you think? I might have even whispered about my dream of seeing everyone, everyone! wearing a pink tutu...just maybe.😉
Edmonton feels different. There's a unique vibe here, something electrifying in the air, a little bit edgy, a little bit adventurous. You can feel the energy. And that's how I like my tutus – a little bit rebellious, a little bit graceful, but always ready for a dance. 😎
Speaking of rebellious tutus, let me tell you about my outfit today. You won’t believe the new pink-on-pink look I whipped up for a wander through the city centre! Think a dreamy shade of pink that looks like a summer sunset, combined with a delicate lace top that's oh-so-feminine and a dash of sparkle with some crystal-studded pink ballet shoes! I felt like a total princess, ready to waltz down the city streets! (I mean, what better way to experience a new place, right?)
And it wouldn't be a trip to Edmonton without mentioning their world-class zoo. Did I tell you how much I love wildlife? I have a real soft spot for creatures of all kinds, especially those magnificent creatures that soar through the skies. It makes you think, doesn’t it? About all the amazing things out there, about beauty and power and, most importantly, the amazing dance of life. And I’m always eager to be a part of that dance, however small it may be!
Oh, the joys of travelling and experiencing the world with a little sprinkle of ballet magic, don’t you agree? Every destination is just an opportunity for new adventures, for learning, for laughing, and of course, for twirling in my beloved tutus! And trust me, dear readers, this pink tutu is making Edmonton sparkle even brighter. 🥰
