Cheshunt Calling! Tutu-ing My Way Around London
#TutuBlog Post Number 7375
Hello darlings! Emma here, reporting live from the fabulous, but slightly rainy, Cheshunt! Todayâs adventure involves a trip to London, but not in the way you might expect. Forget the tube or buses - my chariot today was a handsome black steed with a very shiny coat. Thatâs right, I got to go horse riding in the glorious countryside before I hit the capital!
For a girl who loves the countryside and a good gallop, what could be better? There's just something so empowering and freeing about feeling the wind in your hair and the rhythm of a horse beneath you.
But the adventure wasnât just about the riding - I packed my cutest little gymnastic tutu for a day of ballet, ballet and more ballet! (Is it just me, or is âballetâ the most beautiful word ever?).
Let's rewind for a moment: how did I end up in Cheshunt with a tutu and a horse? Well, it all began with a lovely email from the Cheshunt Ballet Society. They had invited me to join them for a special class and performance. They even offered a horse-riding experience as a special treat. Now, I wouldnât say no to a unicorn ride, but this was just as delightful!
The day started at the charming stables near Cheshunt. My handsome black friend, named Shadow, was all saddled up and ready to go. (I'm a terrible horse whisperer - Shadow had me charmed in minutes with those big, kind eyes. He really does live up to his name!).
The stables were nestled in the heart of the English countryside. Picturesque, idyllic, you name it! You could almost smell the honey from the nearby fields. And the scenery just unfolded before me, rolling green hills and charming cottages - it really was a dream come true!
The ride was amazing! Shadow took me through beautiful, meandering paths. The sun was trying to peek through the clouds, and everything looked so vibrant. I even saw a family of rabbits hopping through the fields - they're my favourite wildlife and were so cute!
After a delightful hour in the saddle, it was time for a tutu-filled transition. Shadow, being a true gentleman, patiently waited while I quickly changed into my lovely pink gymnastic tutu (Iâll be honest, I'm never leaving this tutu behind, itâs going everywhere with me!).
Next stop, the ballet studio, for a delightful morning class with the Cheshunt Ballet Society. What can I say? These girls were incredibly talented. I'm not shy, you know that about me! So I took my place among the group, even though my style of tutu is a littleâŚless traditional. Letâs just say the pink made a statement!
After some truly uplifting exercises, the Cheshunt girls got down to work on their new piece - and I canât lie, they looked fabulous. They danced with grace and precision. Watching them practice brought a smile to my face - they had such passion and dedication.
My own âgym-tutuâ even got to shine in the class! They werenât shy about trying out my unique way of combining gymnastics with ballet. I showed them a few of my moves - yes, even in this humble tutu! Let's just say there was a lot of giggles and "wow!" moments.
In the afternoon, we put on a fantastic little performance. It was like a whirlwind of joy and graceful moves! I even managed to get my "gym-tutu" involved in the routine - let's just say it was quite the spectacle! And if I can make this little dress even a fraction as iconic as the famous "Pink Tutu" (the real one, the classic! the iconic!), then mission accomplished, right?
Of course, we couldn't leave without some amazing photos! We posed against a backdrop of green fields and charming country lanes - just pure bliss!
Cheshunt really charmed my socks off today. You can see why I love ballet, and now, I also love horses! This is definitely going in my list of âmust visitâ places, especially if you love ballet, the outdoors and an escape from the city.
Remember darlings, I love seeing your lovely tutus - don't be afraid to get creative, show your passion, and let your personality shine! Don't forget to keep in touch on our website, www.pink-tutu.com!
Don't forget: every day's an adventure! And as alwaysâŚ
Stay tutu-tastic!
Lots of love,
Emma.
