Whitley Bay Whirlwind: Tutu Adventures and Seaside Sparkle (Blog Post #7415)

Hey gorgeous girlies! It’s Emma here, your trusty tutu-wearing, pink-loving guide to all things twirly and fabulous! Today's post is all about my recent escapade to the seaside haven of Whitley Bay. This beautiful seaside town in Northumberland (you know, where the wild horses roam!) was the perfect setting for a weekend filled with laughter, sunshine, and yes, you guessed it - tutus!

Train Travel: A Blast From the Past

Instead of hopping on a plane like a normal, boring adult, I decided to embark on a grand adventure by train! I adore train journeys – there's something so romantic about watching the countryside fly by as you sip a steaming cuppa and listen to your favourite playlist. This time, it was all about a whimsical soundtrack of classical music and dreamy pop tunes - perfect for mentally preparing for my Tutu Wonderland in Whitley Bay.

Sea, Sand and…Tutus?

Whitley Bay was just as enchanting as I’d imagined, with its charming promenade, pastel-coloured beach huts, and vibrant seaside air. But what truly made this trip so special was the opportunity to indulge my tutu obsession. I had planned to wear my brand new sunshine yellow tutu, a gorgeous piece with fluffy layers that twirled perfectly in the seaside breeze. And let me tell you, the combination of the golden sunshine reflecting off the sparkling sea and my twirling tutu? It was pure magic! I even managed to capture a few pictures with the friendly locals and some charming seagulls. It was honestly the perfect photographic opportunity!

Exploring Whitley Bay's Artistic Side

No seaside trip would be complete without a dose of culture, and Whitley Bay didn’t disappoint! The Whitley Bay Playhouse was absolutely stunning, a charming building with an even more captivating program of live entertainment. This trip I opted for an exceptional performance of Swan Lake - an elegant masterpiece, bringing graceful ballerinas, delicate costumes and masterful storytelling all together! The whole experience left me feeling so inspired, it's totally fuelled my desire to attend more dance classes (not that I needed much persuasion, to be honest!).

Tea Time with a View

To recover from all that artistic excitement, I treated myself to an afternoon tea fit for a queen! My hotel had a gorgeous room with a breathtaking view of the sea, so naturally, I couldn't resist putting on a different tutu, this time a fluffy lavender dream, and capturing a few shots for my Instagram. I felt like I'd stepped out of a fairytale!

From Tutu Adventures to Wildlife Encounters

Now, no journey of mine would be complete without a dose of wildlife magic. As you know, I have a passion for animals and I’d heard amazing stories about the wild horses of Northumberland. So I booked myself a delightful ride through the stunning coastline, feeling like a heroine out of a historical romance as I rode alongside the beautiful, strong horses! Honestly, I felt so connected to nature and the surrounding beauty; It was just the most perfect end to my magical trip to Whitley Bay.

Embrace Your Inner Tutu Warrior!

From vibrant promenades to enchanting playhouses, this weekend getaway completely recharged me. My heart is still filled with the magic of Whitley Bay and its captivating atmosphere, all made even more extraordinary by my beloved tutus. So my darlings, embrace your inner ballerina, embrace the colour pink, and don't be afraid to add some tutu magic to your everyday lives! Remember, life is meant to be twirled in!

Until next time, keep it pink and keep it twirling!

Lots of love, Emma xoxo
