Grantham Calling: A Pink Tutu Paradise! 💖🩰

Hello my lovelies!

It’s Emma here, writing to you from a glorious little town in Lincolnshire, with my heart bursting with all things ballet and a new outfit that’s screaming for attention – an orange tutu! Yes, you heard right! I’ve taken a leap of faith beyond the safety of my usual pinks and peaches and gone bold. Don't worry though, my pink heart still beats strongly and I'm keeping my collection of pink tutus safely in my suitcase. 😉

Let's be honest, a journey to a new place always calls for a fresh new outfit and an adventurous spirit. And Grantham certainly brought out the adventurous side in me. It all started with a sunrise ride through the countryside – I traded my usual dance shoes for some sturdy boots and rode through rolling green hills on the back of a handsome, black stallion. You've never seen such a vibrant landscape bathed in morning sunlight. I think that horse was the most beautiful creature I’ve ever seen! But then again, horses and ballet dancers are graceful beings...

Anyway, it was a fantastic start to the day. As the day went on, I fell under Grantham’s charming spell. This little town holds a lot of history and heritage. We had a lovely walk in the heart of the town, admired the gorgeous Victorian architecture, and even visited the magnificent Belvoir Castle, the very spot where one of my absolute favorite movie, The Duchess, was filmed! The entire day was filled with those “only-in-England” vibes that make me smile from ear to ear.

Now, here’s where the ballet fun really kicks in! Grantham played host to the cutest little ballet studio! It had the best atmosphere: full of energy, vibrant color, and an amazing feeling of pure joy. They had an “open class” session for adults so I got to participate with some of the locals, and let me tell you, everyone was brilliant! It's crazy how quickly a bunch of people who are mostly strangers can turn into a united group thanks to the power of ballet. The sheer talent and love for the art form were absolutely contagious. You wouldn't believe how much laughter was involved – and that, my dears, is exactly what ballet is all about.

In the evening, we had tickets to see a fantastic show, “A Night in the Theatre”, held in a wonderfully restored theatre with beautiful, original details. We settled into plush velvet seats, sipped on tea, and enjoyed an incredibly varied selection of performances, ranging from graceful classical numbers to jaw-dropping street ballet, and even a quirky performance featuring a talented dancer with a pair of hilarious bunny ears! I love the versatility of ballet, the way it can make us laugh one moment and melt our hearts the next. The sheer passion for the art form just washed over me.

Speaking of passion, did I mention that I brought my orange tutu along with me? I love mixing the classic ballet vibe with a pop of color – it just brings a certain energy to my outfits! So, after the theatre performance, I strutted down Grantham's streets with a new bounce in my step – my trusty orange tutu becoming the talk of the town. Honestly, it turned a simple stroll into a mini fashion show – I even caught a few people staring! 😄

Grantham, thank you for an incredible journey filled with a symphony of laughter, dancing, and memories. You have a special place in my heart now, and my orange tutu remembers you well!

Before I wrap things up, a quick word for my dearest Tutu Buddies! It was so exciting to see many of you joining in with #PinkTutuTuesday – you know I love the colour pink but we can wear all colours and it still makes us ballet ladies! Let's spread the joy and enthusiasm of ballet everywhere we go, embracing every color and style imaginable.

See you all on #Pink-Tutu.com tomorrow! Don’t forget to keep shining bright and never stop twirling! 💖

Until next time, Emma www.pink-tutu.com
