Stratford-Upon-Avon: A Green Tutu Adventure (Blog Post #7616)

Hello my darlings!

It’s Emma here, back from a delightful trip to the heart of Shakespeare country! I was whisked away by my trusty steed (that’s right, a horse – don’t worry, he’s not wearing a tutu!) for a weekend of Shakespearean delights and ballet bliss.

As a fellow Derbyshirian, I can't get enough of the green countryside, and this journey took me through some of the most stunning scenery. You could almost smell the countryside in the air, like fresh meadows and blooming flowers - perfect for inspiring creative flows. It really reminded me why I'm so passionate about the beautiful things in life. And let’s be honest, is there anything more beautiful than a fluffy, twirly, perfectly pink tutu?

Speaking of tutus, for this escapade, I decided to step out of my pink comfort zone and embrace a dash of the green. Now, before you shriek, don't get me wrong, it's a very subtle green - imagine a pistachio ice cream, perfectly matched to the verdant countryside, with the tiniest bit of sparkle for added enchantment. You know, just to keep it a little… Emma.

The highlight of the trip was, without a doubt, the Royal Shakespeare Company’s rendition of “Romeo and Juliet.” The theatre itself, the Royal Shakespeare Theatre, was an absolute stunner! Built on the banks of the River Avon, it was practically nestled into the town's beauty. You couldn't ask for a more romantic setting for this timeless tragedy. The actors were phenomenal, the passion truly palpable! Seeing Romeo and Juliet, in their Shakespearean setting, with that incredible green background... well, it was an absolute ballet of emotions! The story moved me, as it always does.

Naturally, no trip to Stratford-upon-Avon could be complete without a visit to Shakespeare's birthplace. Walking through the halls of his childhood home, I felt like I could almost hear his words whispering around me, as if the place was still buzzing with creative energy!

As for my own artistic expression, well, I simply couldn't resist breaking out some ballet moves by the Avon! Picture this: a golden sunset, shimmering over the water, while I’m there, doing my version of Swan Lake. Just picture the graceful pirouettes and dramatic leaps – pure perfection in a green tutu! Of course, I made sure to share my movements on social media for all to enjoy! You know I love connecting with all of you on our pink-tutu journey.

After a day filled with theatrical wonders and creative inspiration, the evening brought a performance of "The Nutcracker" by a local ballet school. Now, it's fair to say, watching the young ballerinas was absolutely heartwarming. Watching these aspiring ballerinas move with such elegance and grace reminded me of why I started this journey years ago! I have to say, they made me feel pretty proud! It's moments like these that really inspire you to keep dreaming, to chase those goals with the strength and tenacity of a ballerina and with the unwavering support of a devoted tututographer. (That's a term I've invented for someone who believes in tutus and teaches the graceful art of ballet!)

But a good ballerina doesn't just spend her time in the studio. No, we need to fuel those creative fires with the wonders of the world! On our horse ride back through the countryside, I caught a glimpse of a beautiful family of deer grazing by the riverbank. They were as elegant and graceful as ballerinas themselves! In fact, there was something so charming about seeing their sweet little noses dipping into the grass and their delicate, gentle steps. And it truly made me feel inspired for my next tutu project.

Speaking of my next tutu project... I have an idea for my new ballet tutu... You know how much I love vibrant, life-affirming colours like pink... and now I’m thinking a splash of green for good luck? Perhaps a soft, silky green for the ultimate in fairytale glam? We'll see!

One thing I’ve learned about ballet, and life itself, is that it’s not just about what we put on; it's about the beauty we create inside ourselves and share with the world! Just like the delicate dance of the deer, we must move through life with elegance, grace, and unwavering optimism. So go on, take a leap of faith! Embrace that passion for the artistic! Find that colour that lights your inner fire. Embrace the green, and let your creativity flourish! I've got a feeling you'll discover some incredible things.

Remember my darlings, we're all on this journey together. Don't forget to subscribe to my pink tutu adventures on www.pink-tutu.com. Don’t forget to comment and tell me all about your travels, and most importantly: Let's keep that tutusphere spinning! And just a reminder... let's all go out and inspire everyone to put on their pink tutus!

Until next time!

Love,

Emma

P.S. Oh! And I forgot to mention that Stratford is just the cutest little town with a perfect little high street filled with unique shops that are absolutely tutu-ally perfect for discovering the next masterpiece to add to your ballet collection.
