Ashton, Here I Come! - #TutuBlog Post #7636
Hello, darlings! It’s Emma here, back with another instalment of Pink-Tutu.
This week, I'm trading my Derbyshire fields for the bustling streets of Ashton. It's all thanks to the Ashton Ballet Festival, and let me tell you, this little ballet fanatic is positively bursting with excitement!
I’m already planning my outfits. Obviously, I can't resist a pink tutu. This time, I’m thinking an Italian-inspired design – the classic black, white, and crimson combo, just oozing sophistication! I can't wait to share the pics with you on Instagram. Just imagine the perfect photo shoot - the Ashton Theatre in the background, maybe even a fountain, the sunshine glinting off the Italian-style tutu… oh, the possibilities are endless!
And to get there, you know I can't resist a train journey. There's just something romantic about chugging along in a carriage, watching the countryside drift by, with a good book and a delicious Earl Grey tea (a bit of English charm on the go). Maybe I’ll even spot some wildlife, a graceful heron taking flight or a field of frolicking lambs!
My main reason for visiting Ashton, of course, is the festival. I’ve been dreaming of seeing Ashton Ballet's production of Giselle for months! I can’t wait to be swept away by the music, the graceful choreography, the incredible costumes! Ashton has such a rich ballet heritage, I can practically hear the soft notes of Tchaikovsky dancing in the air, whispering tales of elegant ballerinas and charming princes!
But this isn't just about Giselle. This festival is all about immersing myself in the joy of ballet, and that includes getting my dancing shoes on! I’ve booked a spot in a beginners' ballet workshop, I can’t wait to meet fellow ballet enthusiasts and share our love for this art form! Just imagine, a room full of people, all in pink tutus, getting lost in the music, pirouetting with glee! And afterwards, we can all have a delicious afternoon tea together – a quintessential British experience, perfectly in sync with our love for ballet!
Evenings will be packed with ballet brilliance too! From the vibrant street performances in the heart of Ashton, showcasing contemporary and experimental dance styles, to the theatre shows at the beautiful Ashton Theatre, I'm ready to be completely enthralled. Who knows, maybe I’ll even be inspired to write some new TutuBlog posts, all about the incredible creativity and artistic prowess of the Ashton dancers!
Ashton holds such a special place in my heart, and it’s going to be amazing to rediscover the city through the lens of this wonderful ballet festival. I can't wait to share my Ashton adventure with you.
But for now, darlings, remember what I always say: Every day is a chance to twirl. Put on your best pink tutu, and let your inner ballerina shine!
Stay fabulous, Emma www.pink-tutu.com

I can already picture it:
