Weston-super-Mare: Where Pink Tutus Meet Fish & Chips!
#TutuBlog #7822
Hello my gorgeous ballet-loving babes!
It's Emma here, your favourite Derbyshire pink tutu enthusiast, and today I'm absolutely buzzing to share a little slice of my life with you from the glorious seaside town of Weston-super-Mare!
This week, I've been feeling extra adventurous, and after a thrilling train journey down to the South West, I decided to embrace the spirit of this charming seaside resort and create a truly unique food-themed tutu!
Let's just say, when in Rome… or in this case, Weston-super-Mare, you gotta eat the fish and chips, right? And trust me, my little tutus-wearing heart couldn't resist the chance to add a little culinary flair to my daily dose of dance.

So, how did I achieve this delightful gastronomic masterpiece, you ask?
Well, let me tell you! I whipped out my trusty pink tutu (the one with the gorgeous floral print I bought at that little vintage shop in Nottinghamshire, you know the one!) and a good dose of my grandma's sewing kit. With a handful of pink felt and a whole lot of glitter glue, I transformed my classic tutu into a miniature culinary work of art.
The result? A beautiful pink tutu emblazoned with the iconic images of a crispy fish and a perfectly golden, steaming chip!

Now, let's talk about the actual creation process. I’ll be honest, there was a moment when I almost thought my dreams of a fish-and-chips-themed tutu were destined to end in utter culinary chaos. But with a good cuppa tea (strong, with one sugar), my grandma's encouragement, and a dash of creative genius, I managed to pull it off!
Next up, it was time for a spot of fish and chips (for inspiration, naturally!)
The seaside was calling, so I headed straight for the pier, my tutu swishing with every happy skip I made. I took a stroll along the vibrant seafront, soaking in the salty sea air and the vibrant buzz of the promenade. It felt like I had stepped straight out of a whimsical fairytale!
The sun was shining, the gulls were screeching, and I was ready to enjoy a taste of traditional British seaside cuisine! Let me tell you, that fish and chips was the absolute perfect compliment to my delightful pink tutu!

After my delicious seaside snack, I went exploring, with my Tutu twirling like a vibrant pink flag! This little seaside gem has so much to offer, with its quaint shops and its captivating natural beauty! The picturesque harbour, filled with traditional fishing boats, held a captivating magic, and I just had to capture it in a photo op!

Now, being a dedicated follower of the ballet arts, I knew I couldn’t miss out on the opportunity to check out the local dance scene in Weston-super-Mare! I stumbled upon a charming little dance studio tucked away in a side street and it was simply bursting with energy and creativity!
After a quick chat with the owner, a warm and welcoming woman who instantly understood my love for ballet and tutus, I was lucky enough to join a drop-in ballet class! Oh my goodness, those leaps and pirouettes just made my heart soar!

This charming seaside town certainly made for the perfect backdrop to my dancing dreams, with its gentle seaside breezes and the sweet music from a passing street performer creating the most magical atmosphere. And let me tell you, there's nothing better than wearing your very own handmade 'Fish & Chips' tutu while dancing the night away. Just try it - you’ll feel fabulous, trust me!
*But it’s not just the beach and the dance studios that capture the charm of Weston-super-Mare. I was blown away by the wonderful natural beauty of this place. *
I took a long walk through Weston-super-Mare’s vibrant parklands, my tutu swishing behind me, just like a bright pink ribbon on a playful puppy! It’s such a joy to be surrounded by so much green and to just breathe in that fresh air.
I'm a true wildlife enthusiast, and I found the beautiful swan lake that was teeming with beautiful swan families, all gracefully gliding along the tranquil waters. My pink tutu suddenly turned into a bright symbol of joyful freedom!
