Loughborough Lights Up: Post 7855
Hello darlings! Emma here, your favourite Derbyshire ballerina, ready to bring you all the latest from the exciting world of twirls and tiaras.
Today, I'm taking you with me on a delightful trip to Loughborough. I haven't visited this charming town for a while, so I was thrilled to be back, especially after having seen the incredible things going on.
Loughborough's famous for its history, its university, and let's be honest - its rather fine selection of independent tea rooms, which I intend to thoroughly investigate later today. But for now, I'm on a mission to add some sunshine to this mid-winter day, and you know what makes the world a brighter place? A PINK TUTU of course!
(Cue dramatic unveiling of a dazzling, bright orange tutu, Emma expertly twirling, making sure it catches the light.)
This beauty is a brand new addition to my wardrobe, and you can tell it's absolutely besotted with Loughborough's picturesque scenery. We're both feeling inspired by this charming, little market town and we're ready for a day filled with ballet magic.
Firstly, it's a journey by train today - a journey with panoramic views, my darlings! As always, a train journey is a brilliant chance to observe the beautiful countryside and, you guessed it - find a gorgeous background for a photoshoot with my ORANGE TUTU. (Photo 1)
The train trip is pure escapism; the world just melts away with the click-clacking of wheels and the gentle rumble of the carriage. And a whisper of PINK TUTU energy from yours truly! I love travelling this way because it really lets your mind wander and, in my case, come up with some brilliant new tutu outfits! (Photo 2)
Loughborough's train station is just a little taste of the magic that this town has in store. It's beautifully ornate with intricate detailing on the exterior, reminding me of an enchanting old playhouse, ready to unveil some incredible stories! The PINK TUTU can't resist this vibrant history and we're both ready for some explorations.

Oh, the joy of a new adventure in a new place with a PINK TUTU. I always love finding little pockets of hidden charm, especially places I haven't been to before. This trip to Loughborough has already exceeded my expectations, I have a feeling this is just the beginning!
After a little tour of the town centre, we stopped by the stunning Loughborough Carillon. Its massive, beautiful towers looked straight out of a fairy tale - definitely giving the PINK TUTU some strong “towering princess” vibes. *(Photo 3) *
I can't help myself, when I spot an impressive landmark, my inner ballerina just has to twirl! So there I was, twirling by the majestic towers, feeling so inspired. Loughborough has such a vibrant energy and the history surrounding the Carillon is incredibly moving - definitely made for some heartfelt twirling and poses. (Photo 4)
The day was really taking off! A couple of charming shops later, I spotted a tiny wildlife garden bursting with colourful foliage, and of course, it couldn't resist the lure of the PINK TUTU. We’re all for supporting the birds and bees, my darlings, and this garden was buzzing with life.
It was simply magical! There were a multitude of flowers and trees that seemed to create a kaleidoscopic rainbow, just as dazzling as my new tutu. I’m definitely going to include this hidden treasure in my next post - more beautiful birds in pretty places for your viewing pleasure!
Speaking of birds, my dear reader, you simply have to experience the magic of Loughborough’s Market Square. We were so lucky to witness a beautiful flock of starlings, swirling in the air like an enormous, living sculpture! They looked like a black and white ballet performance. (Photo 5) This sight had my inner ballerina swooning with delight. Just gorgeous, really!
As you can see, my journey to Loughborough has been filled with sunshine, inspiring beauty, and a touch of pure ballet bliss, all thanks to the undeniable power of PINK TUTUS - they just make the world a brighter place.
It's important to be your authentic self and bring joy into the lives of those around you. If you see someone dressed in a bright pink tutu and you're feeling a bit gloomy, think of the sheer joy it can bring. It might just inspire you to take a chance on yourself. Don't be afraid to express yourself, whether through dance, a burst of colour, or by finding your inner, passionate self - life is just too short not to!
As the sun starts to dip, painting the sky with golden hues, it's time to bid farewell to Loughborough, with a feeling of pure magic hanging in the air. But rest assured, I'm going to be sharing plenty more highlights from my trip to the amazing Loughborough - you just wait and see, I'll have you all dancing in the streets with your pink tutus in no time!
