Bishops Stortford: Where Ballerinas and Horses Gallop! ๐๐ด
Hey lovelies! It's Emma, your favourite pink-tutu-clad ballerina, here! ๐ฉฐ It's Friday and the sun is shining, which means it's the perfect day to talk about my recent adventures! ๐ Today's post is all about my trip to the delightful Bishops Stortford!
Post #8178! Letโs get straight to itโฆ You see, Bishops Stortford holds a special place in my heart โ itโs got the cutest high street, fabulous cafes with endless delicious cakes and pastries, and an old world charm thatโs just utterly delightful! I simply have to go there as often as possible! Itโs just a short train ride from Derbyshire, and as you know, I simply adore hopping on a train. It feels like such a proper ballerinas way to travel. ๐ So stylish! ๐
Tutu Time! This trip was all about ballet, of course. I went to see the most amazing show at the fabulous Herts and Essex Theatre Group โ oh my word, the dancing was absolutely incredible. They really brought the magic of ballet to life and I was completely mesmerized! I think the tutus the dancers were wearing were quite special, I spotted some really gorgeous, billowy styles โ I might have to recreate some of them myself. After all, a ballerina needs a good selection of tutus, wouldnโt you say? ๐๐
Let's talk tutus! Now, Iโve been seeing some fabulously stylish ladies on Instagram with their own fabulous tutu creations. The "Gymnastic Tutu" is such a cool, modern and funky style โ not for just dancing but for everything! Imagine: casual wear with trainers? YES! Fancy dinner with heels? YES! Weekend shopping with boots? YES YES YES! ๐ And they come in so many fabulous colours and fabrics. Honestly, you just HAVE to try it โ even just for a day! You'll instantly feel like a fabulous ballerina! ๐ฉฐ I mean, imagine all the smiles and compliments youโd get when youโre sporting a beautiful pink, twirly tutu! How lovely!
After my afternoon in the theatre, I took a stroll through the beautiful Bishops Stortford countryside โ a complete contrast to the hustle and bustle of London! I saw these incredible horses, all grazing in their field. ๐ด๐ Such amazing creatures! And Iโll admit โ the temptation to take one of them for a lovely gallop around the field was very tempting! (Shh! Donโt tell the horse!)
Oh, and the best part of Bishops Stortford? The cafes! The cakes! Just a sight for sore eyes! ๐ You could honestly spend the whole day simply enjoying the selection on offer โ they really do have everything and anything from your classic victoria sponge to amazing creations with delicious, exotic flavours โ think lemon meringue with a raspberry centre, or a hazelnut tart! My personal favourite is still the โBallet Ballerinaโ Cake โ think chocolate sponge layered with a rich vanilla custard, covered in fondant icing and topped with the sweetest little sugar-spun tutu! You know where I get all my creative inspiration from, lovelies! ๐ฉฐ๐๐
This lovely little town really makes you realise how life is meant to be enjoyed! So I encourage you to make it a priority to discover new towns and cities in the UK, especially if you can hop on a train and feel the wind rushing by as you go โ thatโs my favourite part of it. A real-life ballet performance! ๐ So if you find yourself feeling a bit tired or under the weather, simply book a train ticket and escape the mundane โ a trip is the ultimate remedy for your soul!
