Bournville: Tutu Time in the Chocolate Capital 🍫🩰

Post Number 8242

Hello darlings! 👋 Emma here, your favourite pink-tutu-clad ballerina, writing to you live from the most charmingly named town ever - Bournville! This post is all about my latest adventures, including my first trip on a vintage steam train, a captivating visit to Cadbury World, and of course, a ballet class, because a girl’s gotta dance, right?

Before I tell you all about my day, let me just say, if you haven’t been to Bournville, you absolutely must! It's a true testament to the charm of England - quaint houses, manicured gardens, and an aura of warmth and friendliness that's practically tangible. You feel like you’ve stepped into a film set for a classic British rom-com!

Now, for the grand entrance: my trusty steed, a beautiful old steam train! 🚂 The wind whipping through my hair, the rumble of the engine, the steam billowing... I’m telling you, it’s magical!

Imagine me, your delightful ballet blogger, gracefully (okay, perhaps not so gracefully, what with the swaying carriage and all) waltzing onto this magnificent old train, a fluffy white tutu cascading down my legs and a rosy pink hat perfectly perched on my head. Oh, darling, the smiles I received! Everyone loves a girl in a tutu! 😄

The train journey itself was a visual treat. Green fields and rolling hills, sleepy villages and winding roads... it was just what I needed to unwind after a week of rehearsals. As the sun dappled through the carriage windows, casting dancing shadows on the wooden benches, I felt a sense of pure joy that only a vintage steam train can evoke.

But Bournville wouldn’t be Bournville without a trip to Cadbury World! Oh, my, the delicious aroma that greets you upon arrival!🍫 This was no ordinary chocolate factory tour, darling! We hopped aboard a chocolatey roller coaster, indulged in chocolate fountains that practically begged us to dive in, and even witnessed the making of those legendary Dairy Milk bars, which made me feel a tad envious of the chocolate molds. 😉

The highlight, though, was the creation of my very own Cadbury bar! A giant, gloriously shiny bar, crafted by none other than myself, filled with creamy white chocolate and dotted with pink sprinkles! Talk about sweet perfection! 🍭 I’ve tucked it away safely back in Derbyshire. Think I might give it to Mum... Or perhaps I'll enjoy it with a nice cuppa while I’m practicing my ballet moves! 🤔

Speaking of ballet, the cherry on top of this incredible Bournville adventure was, of course, a dance class at a lovely studio called Dance Dynamics. After the train journey, a little shimmy was just what my muscles craved! They even had a beautiful little pink barre! You know I'm a sucker for anything pink.💖 I felt such a connection to these beautiful ballet dancers. They were so welcoming and the instructor was fabulous.

You know, it really does strike me sometimes, how universally connected we all are through ballet. From Derbyshire to Bournville, across continents even! The language of dance, it speaks to our hearts. You know, sometimes the way I feel inside after a class is so beautiful, it feels as though the words just disappear. Ballet doesn’t require words, just the body and a flow.

So, darlings, as you've heard from the wonderful journey I just shared, this is what Emma’s all about - experiencing life through pink-tutu-tinted lenses, chasing joy and dancing to the beat of my own drum (sometimes literally!). It's a beautiful adventure, and I’d love for you to join me on this journey.

And if you ever find yourself in Bournville, do as I did! Take a trip on the steam train, indulge in some chocolatey goodness, and dance your heart out. Remember, you're all beautiful and capable of amazing things, no matter where you are, who you are, or whether you’re wearing a pink tutu or not (though it does definitely help!). 😉

Catch you tomorrow for another fun-filled adventure. Until then, stay radiant!

Lots of love, Emma xoxo
