#TutuBlog 2019-05-10: From Derbyshire to Deutschland - A Pink Tutu in the Rhineland!

Hello lovelies!

Welcome back to my little corner of the internet! Today's post is number 8346 (how many is that now? It seems like I've been posting every single day since forever!). I hope you're all ready for another whirlwind adventure as we journey to...drumroll please... Germany!

Now, I know what you're thinking. Germany? That's a little bit...unexpected, right? But bear with me! This trip wasn't just about exploring the Rhineland's stunning castles and charming cobbled streets (though we definitely did that!), it was about experiencing the amazing world of German ballet!

And speaking of amazing, let's talk about this tutu! My dear readers, it's pink. And sparkly. It's basically a beacon of joy and a guaranteed mood booster. Just wait till you see the photos...

My Journey to the Rhineland:

This trip was all about train travel, which is always a bit of a magical experience for me. You get to soak up the scenery, read a book (or maybe catch up on my favourite ballet videos!), and, of course, enjoy some scrumptious food from the trolley. This time, the train took us through rolling countryside and past charming villages. I kept my eyes peeled for anything vaguely resembling a castle, and I was so thrilled to see a few majestic ones looming in the distance!

Once we reached our destination, I was met with the warm hospitality of the local ballet community. We had an appointment at a small ballet school nestled within a bustling city, and the instructors were absolutely lovely.

Ballet and a Touch of Wildlife:

Now, let's get back to the main attraction - ballet! I spent a delightful afternoon immersed in the world of German ballet. The studio was full of talented dancers, and we were treated to a breathtaking showcase of technique and passion. I was particularly impressed with the dancers' elegance and poise, as well as their ability to move effortlessly through the air with such grace and precision.

A Touch of Magic:

What really stole the show? It was this extraordinary ballerina with a mischievous twinkle in her eye, who, with just a flick of her wrist, transported the entire studio to another dimension! The way she moved with the fluidity of water and the strength of a storm was awe-inspiring. She taught us a little piece of a classic German choreography, and it was so exhilarating!

We couldn't just go to Germany and not visit a castle! I was smitten with the historic grandeur and rich history. We had a magical picnic inside the shadow of its imposing towers, sipping pink lemonade and soaking in the magical atmosphere. There's something about ancient structures that stirs my soul, wouldn't you agree?

Beyond the Tutu:

In between ballet and castle explorations, we made time to enjoy the simple pleasures of life. One afternoon, we spent hours strolling through a picturesque park filled with blooming flowers and sparkling fountains, feeling the fresh air on our cheeks and admiring the wildlife around us. There were cheeky squirrels scampering in the trees, chattering amongst themselves like little secret agents, and a pair of ducks paddling about in the lake with an almost regal air. It was simply delightful!

Bringing the Rhineland Back Home:

As much as I loved immersing myself in this magical land, I couldn't resist taking home a little bit of the Rhineland with me. I found the most adorable pink beret with a tiny bow, and I already know it will be my go-to accessory for when I'm channeling my inner French chic. And naturally, I couldn't resist snapping up some local delicacies! (Pink cookies are just too cute!).

Final Thoughts

So, my fellow tutu-lovers, I can confidently say that Germany was an absolute delight! The combination of historical charm, ballet excellence, and those delightful German treats made this trip truly unforgettable. But the most valuable thing I took away was the feeling of community and the undeniable love of the art form shared by all those I met.

And remember, it doesn't matter where you go or what you're doing, the most important thing is to be true to yourself and embrace your passions, just like my favourite tutu embodies my love for all things pink and delightful.

I leave you with a question: What kind of magical travel adventures have you experienced lately? Don't forget to share them in the comments below, and be sure to follow me on Instagram @PinkTutuEmma for even more travel fun and ballet bliss!

See you next time, my dearest readers, and keep those tutus twirling!

Yours in Pink,

Emma
