Lowestoft Lullaby: Pink Tutu Travels ๐Ÿฉฐ

#8603 - www.pink-tutu.com

Hello lovelies! It's Emma here, back with another pink-tastic adventure from my travels around the UK! This time, I've hopped aboard a comfy carriage and taken a lovely train journey down to the beautiful coastal town of Lowestoft, Suffolk. Now, you might be thinking, "Lowestoft? What's in Lowestoft?", but trust me, this place has been whispering my name!

Let's rewind to last week. I was at my ballet class back in Derbyshire, lost in the swirls and leaps of a classic pas de deux (that's a romantic dance for two!). As I pirouetted, I noticed a little girl, barely five years old, staring at me with her eyes wide with awe. It reminded me of why I started blogging: to share my love for dance and hopefully inspire others to try it. So, right there and then, I decided I'd head somewhere new, somewhere unexpected. Lowestoft was calling, and I'd answer!

Naturally, my first outfit had to be pink and tutu-fied for this little trip. Imagine, if you will, a blush-pink tutu paired with a creamy white cardigan, and a vintage beret adorned with a delicate pink feather - trรฉs chic! It's not every day you see a tutu on the train platform, but you know me, I don't do anything by half measures!

Coastal Chic:

The train journey itself was blissful. Watching the green rolling hills morph into the dramatic seafront, it felt like I was stepping into one of those romantic ballet stories. My trusty book (Pride and Prejudice, of course!) provided the perfect accompaniment.

Upon arrival in Lowestoft, I was greeted by the most charming cobbled streets and sea air that smelled of salty sea-spray and fresh flowers. My heart skipped a beat at the sight of the quaint, brightly painted fishing boats bobbing gently in the harbour. The whole town felt like a stage set, just waiting for a magical performance!

Lowestoft Lullaby:

You guys know I'm a sucker for seaside sunsets! So, after finding a cozy tea room (the lemon meringue pie was to die for!) I made my way down to the promenade to catch the last light. I sat there, lost in the beauty of the crimson sky reflecting on the sparkling water. It was then I decided to do something a little impulsive โ€“ I found a secluded spot, took off my shoes, and danced on the sand. The sound of the waves lapping against the shore provided the most beautiful music, and for a while, it was just me, my pink tutu, and the endless horizon.

The following day, I wandered through the local shops and stumbled upon a little artisan shop tucked away on a side street. Inside, I found the most gorgeous hand-painted porcelain ballerina figurines, each one adorned with different tutus! My inner collector went crazy! And I, of course, bought one of each!

Horse Power!

The beach is wonderful, but Lowestoft also boasts beautiful horse riding trails! So, I swapped my dancing shoes for sturdy boots and indulged in a thrilling horse-drawn carriage ride! It's not every day I get to enjoy a traditional carriage ride, and it felt utterly magical! The gentle clip-clop of hooves against the pavement, the breeze in my hair, and the sound of birdsong - what's not to love?

A Tale of Two Dancers:

No trip to a new town is complete without some local entertainment, right? So, I headed to a charming little theatre called the Marina Theatre, known for hosting incredible productions. The stage that night showcased "A Midsummer Night's Dream", and it was divine. Watching the actors come to life under the spotlight, it filled me with joy and reminded me how captivating theatre truly is. Even better, I was sitting next to a charming fellow dancer who, believe it or not, had seen one of my Instagram posts about my tutu adventures! The universe works in mysterious ways!

Wildlife Wonders:

I couldn't leave Lowestoft without a spot of wildlife watching! A short trip out to Ness Point on the northern edge of the town brought me face to face with a huge colony of seals! They were so playful and graceful, wriggling around on the rocks. The sight brought a smile to my face โ€“ it was the perfect end to a magical trip.

The Lowestoft Lullaby:

From a horse-drawn carriage ride to pirouettes on the beach, my adventures in Lowestoft have filled my heart with happiness. It's not every day you find a town so enchanting, welcoming, and full of unexpected delights! It reminded me once again, that life is all about exploring, dreaming big, and letting the magic of the world take you away. And of course, all that comes with a pink tutu!

Don't forget, lovely people, I want you all to join the tutu revolution! You can visit my website (www.pink-tutu.com) for some inspiration, find a class near you, and don't be afraid to step outside your comfort zone and give it a go. You might just surprise yourself with how much fun it is!

Now, I'm off to pack my bags for another adventure! I've heard whispers of a ballet performance in Edinburgh, but more about that next week!

Until then, stay pink and happy!

Love, Emma

xx
