TutuBlog #8604: Rugby Bound!

Hello darlings! Emma here, your very own pink tutu-wearing ambassador for all things twirly and fabulous. Today's blog is extra special because I'm packing my bags and heading to… Rugby! Yes, you heard that right! Not exactly the first place you'd think a ballet dancer would go, but hear me out, lovelies. Rugby is known for its famous Rugby School – the birthplace of the game, if you please! – and it just happens to have the most divine-looking ballet studios I’ve ever seen on their website! And what’s more exciting than a visit to a new town that may potentially have ballet dancers in their midst?!

So, naturally, my pink tutu has been carefully packed (it’s the most practical and elegant travel outfit, darling!), along with a few essentials like my sparkly pink ballet shoes, a copy of Swan Lake to read on the train journey, and some Pinkalicious snacks for the trip. Speaking of, I'm taking the train, as you know I do! I adore train travel; the clink of the tracks, the bustle of the station, and of course, the window view - all perfectly in keeping with my ballerina spirit. Think of the choreography of the train going over the tracks! Just dreamy!

And I just have to tell you, darling, I was lucky enough to have a little horse encounter this morning on my way to the station. Imagine, me on my way to the station and, right there, next to the path I usually take, was a magnificent black horse! Oh, the beauty! And a horse, wouldn’t you agree, is practically a living, breathing tutu, all that flowing mane, those elegant hooves! Just so dramatic and graceful! He just stood there for a minute, staring at me with his large, dark eyes. And of course, I was captivated!

Anyways, enough about the beautiful journey, we are on a mission here to spread the love of pink and ballet! We’re starting in Rugby! I can’t wait to explore this historic town, check out those ballet studios ( I'll share photos!), and maybe even teach the locals a few pirouettes in the local park. Wouldn’t it be magical to see a gaggle of Rugby lads in pink tutus, whirling and twirling like ballerinas?! The world is my stage, and I aim to have everyone – every single one – dancing in a pink tutu with me. That's my dream, darlings, and together, we’ll make it a reality.

Now, before I go and make the town of Rugby a pink ballerina paradise, I want to take a minute to share with you my love for ballet. It's not just a performance; it’s an art, an escape, a way of expressing your innermost feelings. Ballet allows us to take a leap of faith (quite literally), to rise above our challenges and soar with the grace and poise of a swan. If there were a single dance that represented how I want to live my life it would be a Swan Lake, my darlings, full of delicate grace and elegance, strength and soaring spirit - it would even have a black swan moment or two, for a little touch of drama, but in the end, I will always come back to that elegant grace! Oh, and my dear blog-loving lovelies, you know I also love me a Pinkalicious ballerina show. Those dazzling tutus, those dramatic dances, the storytelling… It's magic!

To me, dancing is a kind of storybook living; it makes life fun and bright! Every twirl, every grand jeté is like a turning of the page. Ballet brings colour, joy, and elegance into the world, and I want everyone to experience this feeling. We've already got a massive following on this site (the world of pink-tutu.com !) and its just so rewarding! We inspire each other with stories of pink tutus and ballet. But there is always room for more, so if you’re ready to spread the pink tutu magic, tell me! I want to hear your ballet stories and dance dreams. Let’s turn the world pink, together!

Until tomorrow, my dears, be happy, be bold, and most importantly, never stop twirling!

Emma, xx
