Hello my lovelies! It’s Emma here, fresh back from a magical weekend in London. As always, my pink tutu went with me, but this time, I decided to swap out my usual fuschia for something a little bolder: a gorgeous, sky-blue cyan!

Oh, the drama of it all! It felt like I was floating through the city streets, like a beautiful, azure butterfly in a whirlwind of pink. It truly was a sight to behold! Just imagine me, twirling with a glorious backdrop of Buckingham Palace or Tower Bridge.

My trip started on the trusty, familiar train from Derbyshire – it’s my favourite way to travel. It always reminds me of my childhood, sneaking in with my Mum to watch "The Railway Children". Those scenes just fill my heart with such nostalgic warmth! I think the train really lends itself to daydreaming – there’s a certain calm about it all, which lets me properly plan my outfit. After all, I needed to make sure my cyan tutu looked fabulous! I matched it with a sparkling blush pink crop top, a soft, white chiffon skirt, and a blush pink and white polka dot hat. This, of course, was completed with my usual trusty pink, sparkly ballet flats. It truly was a whirlwind of colour, a glorious celebration of everything pink and everything beautiful!

The moment I stepped into London, the atmosphere was electric. The air crackled with a buzzing energy that reminded me of the first time I ever saw a full-scale performance at The Royal Opera House. My pulse quickened, my heart pounded. It was that special mix of awe and excitement. And, just like every other London trip, my heart truly soared the moment I reached Covent Garden. It was as if all the beauty of London focused there in the Royal Opera House.

Naturally, I had to squeeze in a ballet class at the prestigious Central School of Ballet. They have some of the most talented teachers in the country! It was wonderful to feel that intense energy, the passion and dedication pouring from every pore of those around me. Of course, I wore my cyan tutu, and felt a little starstruck knowing that famous ballerinas probably danced on this very floor. As I pliéed, I could practically feel them watching me, their ghostly figures guiding my every step. You know what? My whole class was captivated by the tutu! By the end of it, I felt like a celebrity! I even managed to inspire one of my fellow dancers to try a new pink tutu - you’re welcome!

It wouldn't be a true London trip without seeing some fabulous shows. My eyes sparkled with wonder watching a breathtaking production of ‘Swan Lake' at The Royal Opera House. Each leap, every turn, every single delicate movement, transported me to another world. It was utterly magical. Honestly, the only way to describe the entire show was simply “utterly enchanting”.

And while ballet is my ultimate love, there’s a whole world out there to discover, and London is the perfect place for it! So, my adventure continued, taking me from the stunning Victorian beauty of Kew Gardens to the hustle and bustle of Camden Market. The flowers in Kew Gardens were absolutely glorious! There were huge swathes of magenta roses, cerise peonies, and fields of blush pink dahlias. It truly was a riot of colour! In fact, it made me realise how much the world needs more colour and more of those fabulous, joyful pink tutus. It wouldn't be the same without them, and it was this thought that kept buzzing in my mind as I explored the eclectic delights of Camden Market. You just can't help but want to express your unique individuality there. There are so many amazing, bold designs – just like my cyan tutu. It’s certainly no wonder that Camden Market is so beloved – it feels as though it embodies all the creativity and spirit of London!

I spent a gloriously long afternoon wandering through the stalls, taking in the vibrant energy and admiring the vintage treasures. It really is a place that nourishes my soul – it’s full of stories and adventures!

Speaking of adventures, I just have to share my absolutely fabulous day out to the countryside! The best part of it all? A gorgeous horse ride! I even convinced one of the riders to let me try a gentle trot in a pink and blue tutu – It was fantastic!

That evening, after a wonderfully romantic sunset stroll in Hyde Park, I dined in one of the city’s quaintest little restaurants. It felt as though the restaurant was nestled right within a tiny haven of peaceful tranquillity - a perfect contrast to the frenetic city energy. The food was delicious and, of course, I indulged in a pink ice-cream with pink sprinkles and a cute, little pink butterfly candy on top – the perfect sweet end to an utterly perfect day.

This weekend has certainly re-energised my love for London! It truly has the most magical feel to it. I just adore the sheer spirit of this place - how vibrant and eclectic it is, how exciting it makes you feel, how full of colour and passion! And London's not the only place to find that special magic. Every town, city and countryside spot holds something beautiful within itself. So, go out there, find that sparkle in your own special corner of the world and never forget the magic that lies within us all – the magic to live life in our own, fabulous colours. Remember my little pink tutu fairies - every day, in whatever town, city or countryside you choose, be your own bright light. Go and shine!

See you all back on pink-tutu.com tomorrow.

Lots of pink love, Emma x
