Consett Calling! 🩰💖

Hello darlings! It’s your girl, Emma, back with another pink-tastic adventure from the world of tutus and travel! 💃💖 Today’s post is a little different, as we’re venturing away from the glittering stage lights and exploring a new corner of Britain: Consett in County Durham.

Before I dive into the details, let’s all raise a glass of sparkling pink lemonade to celebrate post number 9018! Can you believe it? It’s a true testament to the endless joy that comes with twirling through life in a tutu. 💖

So, Consett. A beautiful, historic town nestled in the North East, famous for its stunning scenery and industrial heritage. This little slice of Britain felt like stepping into a classic period drama. Imagine cobbled streets, quaint shops brimming with local charm, and charming old pubs with crackling fireplaces and hearty fare. Honestly, my inner fairytale princess was squealing!

The journey there was part of the adventure! As a true romantic at heart, I chose to take the train, basking in the sun streaming through the window and enjoying the ever-changing landscapes as I travelled through the heart of England. I do love the rhythm of the train tracks and the rhythmic hum of the engine, and this journey was no exception!

But my ultimate favourite way to travel, of course, is on horseback. Yes, my darlings! A majestic, black steed with a mane like spun silk - a truly breathtaking experience. I must confess, it took a little while to track down a trusty horse stable in the vicinity of Consett, but it was worth the extra legwork. The countryside here is idyllic, and I felt the wind in my hair as we galloped through meadows and woodlands. A true memory maker, my dears!

Consett wasn’t just about its charming town square and rustic landscapes. This week, I went on a wonderful adventure into the local nature reserve! 🦢🦌 Imagine walking through woodland paths, breathing in the fresh air, and encountering deer and swans. The air was so peaceful and crisp. This reserve felt like a little secret oasis in the bustling world, and I savoured every moment of quiet contemplation.

Now, for the big question…what did I wear?

Well, my darlings, how else could I have stepped out in Consett? In a deliciously fluffy pink tutu! It wasn’t just any tutu though. This one had delicate lace trim and layers of tulle that swirled around me as I moved, creating a breathtaking, dreamlike effect. It was the perfect outfit for both the elegant ambiance of the town centre and the ethereal beauty of the nature reserve.

Honestly, Consett welcomed me with open arms. I had locals stopping me to tell me how beautiful my tutu was and a few even shared stories about their own love for ballet. What a charming town! They even encouraged me to show them a few of my favourite ballet moves right there on the cobbled streets!

The evening concluded with a delightful visit to a local pub, a cosy nook where I enjoyed a plate of hearty, local fare and chatted with some of the locals. I found that so many of them, even those who had never been to a ballet before, were captivated by the magic and beauty of this art form. My darlings, this only reinforced my life mission: to bring the wonder of ballet to everyone, one tutu at a time!

My trip to Consett wouldn't have been complete without visiting a local ballet school. It was absolutely bursting with young dancers who had so much passion and fire in their eyes. They were even wearing adorable pink tutus! It felt like a sisterhood of twirling dreams! Watching their progress made me feel like a proud big sister, reminding me of how I felt when I first stepped into a ballet class. It was love at first plié!

After my time in Consett, I left with my heart brimming with new adventures and a stronger conviction that the world needs more tutus. Every step, every twirl, is a step towards a more colourful, expressive, and joyous life. So, my darlings, what are you waiting for? Embrace your inner ballerina! Grab your tutu, channel your inner grace, and spread the love of dance, one pirouette at a time.

Until next time, may your days be filled with pink-tastic sparkle!

Love always,

Emma 🩰💖
