Oxford Calling: Pink Tutu & Puddings 🩰🧁

Hello lovelies! 👋 Emma here, your favourite pink tutu wearing, ballet-obsessed blogger, ready to take you on a journey through the dreamy city of Oxford. It's post number 9060, and it's time to dive into a day packed with graceful movement, delicious food, and the undeniable magic of this historic gem. 💖

As always, my trusty steed was ready to take me to my first destination: a delightful bakery. Now, you know me, I couldn't resist picking up a little treat – a pink iced doughnut. Not just any doughnut though, mind you, a fluffy cloud of pure joy, coated in that gloriously saccharine pink icing. It’s safe to say, it was the perfect fuel for a day filled with pirouettes and culture. 🍩🩰

Speaking of pirouettes, I had a private ballet class booked at a little studio tucked away in one of Oxford's enchanting lanes. Stepping into the studio felt like entering a haven of grace and beauty. We focused on strengthening those beautiful ballet lines, worked on our graceful pliés and fouetté, and finally, a few well-timed pirouettes. Nothing feels better than finishing a ballet class, legs deliciously achy, with a spring in my step. 🤩

Feeling energised, I explored the heart of Oxford. I couldn't resist pausing to snap a few pics outside the iconic Radcliffe Camera. It’s absolutely beautiful, all golden stone and intricate details, almost like a ballet costume itself!

Lunch was at the quaintest little café. Honestly, you wouldn't believe it if I didn’t tell you; the menu had an entire section devoted to 'Afternoon Tea' – a quintessential British experience! Naturally, I opted for the most glamorous version, complete with delicate finger sandwiches, fluffy scones (with clotted cream, of course!), and a medley of delightful little cakes and pastries. Afternoon tea and tutus? They just go hand-in-hand, darling! 🥪🧁☕️

Oxford, with its historic cobblestone streets, always transports me to a different time, like stepping into a scene from a classic ballet. I couldn't resist a little stroll through the charming cobblestone streets of the city. Oxford really is the perfect mix of historical grandeur and charming countryside. I felt like a ballerina gracefully floating through the beautiful streets, admiring the age-old buildings and enchanting little alleyways. 💖

Of course, a trip to Oxford isn't complete without a visit to its esteemed university. The imposing buildings were buzzing with energy and intellectual vigour, like a choreography unfolding before my very eyes! I took a detour to admire the majestic Christ Church Cathedral. The sheer scale of the cathedral had me feeling like a delicate ballerina amongst monumental grandeur. The soaring arches, the intricate stained glass windows – a feast for the senses.

As the day faded into evening, I took a scenic horse-drawn carriage ride through Oxford. There’s something quite romantic and timeless about the slow journey, the gentle clip-clop of hooves on the cobblestones, and the soft evening light reflecting off the city's buildings. It felt like a scene straight out of a ballet. 🤩

With the day drawing to a close, I had a chance encounter with a graceful deer wandering through the meadow by the River Thames. It was like it was doing a delicate little dance, dipping and bobbing. What a perfect end to a ballet-inspired adventure. ✨🦌

And just before I bid farewell to the city, I couldn't resist a stop at another fabulous little bakery – the perfect place to get a last taste of this fairytale setting. My final purchase? A dreamy raspberry tart, the sweet taste of pink delight! 💖

Oxford, you have stolen my heart, and I know I’ll be back. But until then, remember this, darlings – every day is a chance to dance with joy and wear your very own pink tutu. Life's a stage, and you're the leading lady.

See you on www.pink-tutu.com tomorrow for a new ballet adventure! 💖🩰
