Hello my lovely pink-loving tutu-twirling friends! 👋 Emma here, and today marks a special day! Not only is it my favourite colour day - pink Wednesday - but I've reached another exciting blog milestone. 🎉 This is my 9093rd post, which makes me realise just how much joy I get from sharing my love for ballet and life's sparkly little moments with you all. 💖
Today's adventure took me to Watford, a charming town just outside London, a journey I took in style of course, on the "Flying Scotsman" - a fabulous vintage train! (Yes, I'm absolutely smitten with anything vintage). It felt like I stepped right out of a ballet scene, complete with elegant carriage doors and plush velvet seats. 🚂
Now, as you know, I love finding hidden gems, and Watford did not disappoint. The reason for my trip? Well, of course, it involved ballet! The Watford Palace Theatre is currently hosting a beautiful production of "The Nutcracker," and I just couldn't miss it. And let's be honest, I just had to wear a special tutu for this occasion, don't you agree? 😉
Speaking of my outfit, I went all out. My pink tutu (duh!) was sprinkled with tiny edible sugar flowers - how delightful, right? My aim was to bring a touch of magic to the theatre, and what's more magical than sugary blooms and ballet? I felt like a fairytale princess walking into that theatre! ✨
The performance was simply magical. The dancing was graceful and elegant, the music enchanting, and the set design simply stunning. I even had a moment where I almost burst into tears – that's the power of great ballet for you! The performance was even more delightful than I could have ever imagined.
But wait, there's more! The real surprise of the day was in the heart of Watford. Did you know there's a delightful wildlife park there? 🐿️ Right after the performance, I decided to visit this hidden gem, where I found all sorts of adorable creatures: playful monkeys, graceful swans, and even a cheeky meerkat that almost stole my pink tutu! (Luckily, I held onto it firmly! 😂). It's true, wildlife always adds a dash of sunshine to any day.
Before I bid you farewell, let's talk about those sparkly dreams. As you know, my life mission is to spread the love of ballet and pink tutus far and wide! And trust me, I'm just getting started! 💗 If you haven't already, give ballet a try!
