Stratford-Upon-Avon: A Tutu-ful Day Out! 💖🩰

Blog Post Number: 9164

Hello my lovely Tutu Tribe! 👋 Emma here, reporting live from the enchanting town of Stratford-upon-Avon, where the Bard himself once trod the boards. As you know, I adore a bit of theatre, and this charming town is brimming with history and charm. And, of course, no Emma trip is complete without a dash of pink and a sprinkle of tulle!

This morning, I donned my trusty emerald green tutu - perfect for blending into the greenery of Shakespeare's gorgeous Avon River - and hopped onto a train from my Derbyshire home. I love a good train journey - the gentle sway, the rhythmic clickety-clack of the wheels, the opportunity to lose myself in a good book or a daydream… All that plus the lovely views of the countryside. You simply can’t beat the romance of travelling by rail, wouldn’t you agree?

Stratford welcomed me with open arms - a cobbled street leading to a charming little cafe where I tucked into a delectable cream tea, scones bursting with sweetness, the most delightful pot of tea and all in the sunshine! This, my lovelies, is exactly how I picture my ideal day in a pretty little English town.

I spent the afternoon wandering around the historic streets, admiring the timber-framed houses, dipping in and out of charming boutiques (where, naturally, I found a beautiful new pink ribbon for my tutu), and even catching a glimpse of a magnificent peacock strutting its stuff in the park!

I just love a good peacock. There's something about their elegance and boldness that resonates with my own inner flair, don’t you think? And you know what else I adore? Wildlife. The sight of this peacock preening his magnificent feathers, proud and colourful, is a reminder of nature's incredible beauty and vibrant palette. It just screams 'live life in full colour' – which is a sentiment I wholeheartedly embrace.

Later, I enjoyed a captivating performance of "As You Like It" at the Royal Shakespeare Theatre. The theatre itself is truly spectacular - so much history, such drama, such an exciting aura. The performance was magnificent, with stunning costumes, heartfelt acting, and a wonderfully captivating story. I even saw a group of local dancers perform during the interval - their energy was incredible! I left feeling energised, inspired and ready to leap right into the world of the theatre.

As the day drew to a close, I took a gentle stroll through the charming gardens that border the Avon River. A beautiful sunset cast the river and its surroundings in a magical golden light - truly the perfect ending to a perfect day!

And you know, as I admired the peaceful scenery, I thought to myself - what's stopping you from venturing out and enjoying the beauty of our world, just as I did today? Take a leap of faith! Step out of your comfort zone! Embark on an adventure!

Life, my darlings, is like a grand stage, waiting for us to dance our own beautiful story. Embrace your inner ballerina, embrace your own colour, and wear your own fabulous tutu! Let’s fill the world with the joy of dance and the vibrant hues of our personalities!

Do share your favourite moments of your own adventures in the comments!

Until next time,

With love and glitter,

Emma 💖🩰
