The journey itself was pure delight. Forget stuffy trains – I embraced the freedom of the open road, galloping along in a vintage horse-drawn carriage, the wind whipping through my perfectly pink curls. (Just imagine: my tutu flowing like a delicate butterfly behind me, a vision of elegance in motion!)
Now, Worthing itself was a delightful surprise. This charming town is a true haven for ballet enthusiasts like myself!
Firstly, the sheer abundance of shops selling tutus was practically overwhelming! It was a tutu paradise, with every imaginable colour and style, from the classic to the contemporary. (Of course, I had to snag a few, my pink wardrobe is never full!)
The highlight, however, was the incredible performance I caught at the Worthing Theatres. The ballet was breathtaking - a mix of classical grace and contemporary flair. The dancers moved like poetry, and the costumes, oh my! A dazzling kaleidoscope of pink and every imaginable shade! It had me dreaming of taking up the stage myself. (Just think: pink tutu, graceful pirouettes, applause… what's not to love?)
Of course, no visit to the coast would be complete without a visit to the local wildlife sanctuary. These creatures, wild and free, remind me that beauty can be found in all things, just like the magic of ballet. The little otters playing in the water, the elegant swans gliding through the lagoon, they all held a certain "je ne sais quoi," don't you think?
