Cambridge Calling! (Post 9585)

Oh, darling! I'm just back from the most glorious weekend in Cambridge! You know I just have to share it with you all on the good ol' www.pink-tutu.com, wouldn't want to keep you lot in the dark!

Pink Tutu in a College Town!

Let me just say this: Cambridge is seriously up there with my fave destinations! And what better way to explore this charming place than with a pink tutu, right? You lot know my motto: if it ainā€™t pink, it ainā€™t my style! And, of course, my love affair with all things ballet continues, so a trip to Cambridge had to involve a bit of twirling, natch!

Journey by Train!

I opted for a journey by train this time, the countryside whizzing past, with fields full of grazing horses - pure bliss! I even had a sneaky peek at some adorable lambs frolicking near a field with a big ā€œno parkingā€ sign on it, gotta love that cheeky British humour! I was actually travelling with my mum - whoā€™s now caught the pink tutu bug (yay! One more convert to the cause!)- she even bought herself a new pale pink tote bag to go with my dazzling pink ensemble. (Oh, did I mention it had adorable sequins too?) I'd brought my camera of course, wouldn't miss a chance to document this lovely trip!

University Delights

My very first stop? The majestic Kingā€™s College, darling! The architecture there is absolutely breathtaking! I couldnā€™t resist spinning and leaping in the Quad for a little ballet photo op - whoā€™s gonna tell me Iā€™m not a proper fairytale princess here? And speaking of fairytale vibes, it's simply gotta be said: you canā€™t visit Cambridge without exploring its magical colleges.

Ballet Class: Cambridge Style

Oh, did I tell you about my ballet class? The place was called "Dance Fusion", right in the heart of the city, and it was simply divine! A gorgeous, bright studio, friendly staff, and a lovely class full of dancers - just my kinda peeps! They even let me borrow their pink ballet shoes, which made for a perfect tutu-matching experience. I mean, how fabulously pink can it get? My dance teacher, Chloe, was incredibly enthusiastic - I loved her passion for the artform! After class, we were all so excited about a show we were going to watch later that night. What's better than a ballet class and a ballet performance? Just that - one after the other! I even discovered the most charming cafe in town, perfect for post-dance brunch - we're talking fluffy croissants, fresh juice and even pink lemonade! The girl loves her pinks, wouldnā€™t you know!

A Showstopping Performance

Our evening ended at the glorious ADC Theatre! Oh my goodness, it was such an incredible performance, full of heart, soul, and incredible dancing. The audience was mesmerized, the theatreā€™s buzz was incredible and we felt so blessed to be a part of it. I swear the air itself felt a little more sparkly after a show as lovely as this. We couldnā€™t resist joining in the applause for the last standing ovation, clapping our hands so enthusiastically they almost flapped my little tutu off, but donā€™t you worry - this pink tutu isnā€™t leaving me anytime soon! I know how lucky we are to be able to experience things like that.

The Magic of Cambridge!

That's my Cambridge journey for you, darling! Pink tutu, ballet classes, vibrant performances and of course, plenty of photo-worthy spots. The beauty of Cambridgeā€™s charm simply couldnā€™t be ignored. So much history, such friendly faces, the air is infused with intellect! What more could a ballerina ask for? Oh, I even bumped into a lovely guy while we were browsing a local art gallery - he looked so interested in my pink tutu! He asked if I was a dancer and we ended up talking for ages - he even bought me a beautiful hand-painted porcelain ballerina figurine, how sweet! (He even said he admired my courage for being myself.) I really believe that everyone should find their passion, explore their dreams, and be themselves! I also think that a touch of pink goes a long way. I always try to make people feel happy, inspire them and encourage them.

That's just one thing I love about ballet - it's an expression, an escape. The beauty of Cambridge combined with the grace and elegance of ballet: I think Iā€™ve discovered a new love - ballet in historic surroundings! So, if you havenā€™t yet - join the ballet bug craze, ladies (and gentlemen, too!) The world needs more pink, more laughter, more twirling! It needs more of you, shining bright and embracing your individuality. And when in doubt, just put on a pink tutu and dance!

Yours Truly,

Emma
