TutuBlog #9653: Rochester, My Love for Nature and Pink Tutus!

Hello darlings, and welcome back to Pink Tutu! Today, I'm writing to you from the charming city of Rochester, nestled in the heart of Kent, England. Oh, Rochester is just so picturesque, with its historic castle, cobbled streets, and the lovely River Medway winding its way through. It's the perfect setting for a tutu-clad adventure, and believe me, that's exactly what I've been up to!

You know how much I adore pink, right? It's simply my favourite colour! And I've got a feeling that I'm going to love my new tutu even more than all the others, because it's actually nature-themed! Can you imagine? The perfect blend of elegance and wildlife! This tutu is the dream!

Let me tell you all about it... the fabric is a beautiful shade of blush pink, almost like the colour of a blushing sunset. It's layered with delicate chiffon that dances with every movement, and adorned with delicate little butterflies, bees, and even a few blooming flowers. I feel like a beautiful, fluttery, floral fairy whenever I wear it. Isn't it utterly divine?

Oh, and have I told you about how I got to Rochester? It was absolutely idyllic! My lovely horse, Prince, carried me all the way from Derbyshire. What could be more romantic and scenic than riding through the English countryside? Prince certainly enjoyed it, and so did I. And the wind whispering through my hair, well, that was just magic! I really believe horses are just about the best form of transport, bar none.

As for Rochester, well, it's like a fairytale come true. There are hidden alleyways to explore, cosy cafes to discover, and just a feeling of time standing still. This morning, I strolled along the river, just me and Prince. And, of course, my trusty pink tutu! I just had to snap a few pics. It felt like I was a princess from some forgotten story, except with a distinctly pink-hued edge.

My adventure started with a visit to Rochester Castle. Can you even imagine all the history those stones have seen? It's truly a place where you can just feel the weight of time. Then, after I finished exploring all the little corners of that beautiful old fortress, I made my way to the local ballet school.

They say every girl has a little bit of ballet dancer inside her, and I absolutely believe that. Rochester School of Ballet is the kind of place that makes you want to spin and leap with joy. Even the little dancers are adorable. It’s impossible not to smile, they're so joyful and enthusiastic about their ballet. Their tiny tutus twirled around their small little legs in a flurry of pinks and yellows and whites and it filled me with warmth and a desire to start dancing immediately.

The classes themselves are truly inspiring! Their studio is right above the River Medway, so we can dance with the birds, butterflies and a gently flowing river outside. It's not quite as breathtaking as my own beautiful countryside but the teachers, with their genuine love of the art form, helped me to rediscover my passion for dance. We practised some of the classic steps, which felt a bit like returning home for me. It was a true pleasure. They say to embrace the old, and, let me tell you, my old ballerina roots are certainly something I will embrace, but my new-found nature themed tutu adds a certain β€˜new’ to my old passion!

In the evening, after a truly spectacular performance from the Rochester Ballet Company (my absolute favourite dance show), Prince and I took a ride along the river, watching the stars twinkle overhead. Honestly, sometimes, the simple pleasures of life are the most satisfying. Just a cool night breeze on my face and the moon shimmering on the water. The perfect end to a perfect day.

Rochester, I can see why you have so much charm! It's not surprising you inspire artists and creatives. My dear readers, do go and visit Rochester! It is full of character, beauty, and that indescribable magic. And don't forget, your journey is more fun in a pink tutu! It truly brightens up the world!

I promise to share more adventures and tutu-themed explorations with you in the next few days! Keep your eyes peeled, as always, for more fashion tips and inspiration, because the world is your stage, and darling, you deserve to wear your heart (and tutu!) on your sleeve!

Until next time, remember to keep those tutus twirling,

Emma xo
