#TutuBlog 2024-04-19: Rugby with a Green Tutu! (Post #10152)
Hello darlings! It's Emma here, ready to whisk you away to another exciting adventure! As you all know, I believe every day is a chance to dance, to embrace colour, and to spread a bit of twirling joy. So, today's tale is a whirlwind of rugby, green tutus, and a dash of unexpected adventure.
Let's rewind back to last night. I was catching a train from the quaint Derbyshire countryside to Rugby, which - much to my surprise - was a charming little town full of history. Did you know Rugby was the birthplace ofโฆrugby?! Shocking, I know! ๐
My mission this time? A whirlwind performance by a brilliant street dance group who are mixing hip hop moves with traditional ballet - how wonderfully contemporary! It was so exciting. You wouldn't believe the leaps they managed to pull off, and the flips were just breathtaking! The music was a gorgeous mix of classic and modern. You can really see they've spent hours and hours in the studio getting things just right. They really put the 'art' into 'street art'.
After the performance, I decided to embrace the city's sporty spirit. So I traded my pink tutu for a bright green one - you know I like to mix things up, don't I?!
With a pep in my step, I popped into a local bakery - a little independent one that smelt divine. The smell of fresh bread was making my stomach rumble and I decided to buy a slice of apple and cinnamon cake. Yum!
With my belly full, I decided to treat myself to an afternoon of wildlife viewing. A few locals tipped me off about this lovely, hidden garden with a pond just a few miles out of town.
So, off I went, tutu and all. (Let's be honest, it's not like I wouldn't wear my tutus to a supermarket! It's just what I do.)
I must say, the walk to the pond was truly beautiful. Wildflowers were dotted around everywhere, a vibrant patchwork against the backdrop of green fields. And then I saw it! A family of swans with their cygnets, gliding gracefully through the lily pads, such elegant creatures!
They say the sight of a swan is a good luck omen. Well, if swans are lucky, then I'm practically Midas right now! ๐
So, as the day drew to a close, I knew my journey had to continue. My pink tutu is calling me to explore the wonders of the world.
Remember darlings, life is a stage, so dance like no one's watching - or even if they are! ๐ Keep your chin up and never forget to add a sprinkle of colour wherever you go. And if you're ever in need of inspiration, be sure to check back in tomorrow!
Love,
Emma xx
