Littlehampton, Oh Littlehampton!

#TutuBlog - Post #10438

Hello darlings! It's Emma here, your resident pink tutu enthusiast, coming to you live from the beautiful seaside town of Littlehampton. Now, let's be honest, the name isn't exactly sexy, but trust me, the place is a hidden gem. I even wore my emerald green tutu today, just for the occasion! It really is the perfect colour for the natural hues of the South Coast.

Train Ride of Delight

My journey down was by train, naturally. As much as I love galloping around on horseback (weā€™ll get to that in a bit), itā€™s not always the most practical option, especially for solo trips. I have to say, the views on the South Western Railway today were a delight. There was a lovely bit where I felt like I was going right past the sea, and I swear I saw a family of seagulls having a picnic. Who knows, maybe they were watching a film of ā€œThe Nutcrackerā€ - those seagulls can be a little bit pretentious! šŸ˜‰

Tutu-fying the Coast

The Littlehampton promenade was so welcoming! I know, I know, the seafront promenade can feel a bit clichĆ©d, but with my trusty green tutu twirling about, I brought the magic. And hey, even the seagulls seemed charmed, if their inquisitive stares were anything to go by! You know how much I adore wildlife, and itā€™s always a treat when they're appreciative of my sartorial choices!

* Ballet Bliss by the Beach*

I decided to spend my afternoon indulging in a little ballet bliss at the charming Littlehampton Pavilion. Now, they may not have a famous Royal Opera House, but their community spirit shone through. I had such a lovely time observing their ballet class ā€“ so many happy little dancers just full of joy! You see, I truly believe ballet is something everyone can enjoy. I may be a professional dancer, but it's more than just performance for me. It's about the journey, the self-discovery, and that je ne sais quoi feeling when your body and soul just connect with the music.

Coastal Culture with a Tutu

Later, I found myself in one of Littlehamptonā€™s little cafes. It was such a lovely spot with gorgeous views of the harbor. Imagine a dainty ballet dancer like me, perched on a bistro chair with a cup of tea and a lemon slice (so fancy, darling!), surrounded by the sound of the waves and a gentle sea breeze. This was what I call la dolce vita. And guess what? It felt even more magical in my green tutu. It's funny, even in the most ordinary settings, my tutus just seem to lift everything up to another level, wouldn't you agree?

From Tutu to Twinkle

After my tea break, I decided to wander around the harbour. It was getting quite dark, and the lights reflected off the water in the most incredible way, creating this almost twinkling effect. Now, I am from Derbyshire, you see, and it is always amazing to experience the ocean and how its light can be so mesmerizing. In that moment, it truly felt like I was living in a fairytale, a real-life ballet set designed just for me!

The Magic of Littlehampton

Letā€™s face it, some towns just have this je ne sais quoi, a sense of something magical happening around every corner. I felt it strongly in Littlehampton. There was something in the air, something about the light, about the seagulls and the harbor, something pink (can't escape that, can I? laughs). It reminded me why I adore traveling. Itā€™s not just about the sights, it's about experiencing the feeling, the vibe of a place. And Littlehampton, you've left a little sparkle in my heart!

The Call of the Horse

Now, you wouldnā€™t believe my next stopā€¦a stables, right on the coast! My dearest friend Charlotte (youā€™ve met her on this blog before, darling!) actually owns the most adorable miniature horse, "Pinky." And since I canā€™t come to Sussex without spending some time with her (Pinky that is, Charlotte's quite fun too!) I couldnā€™t resist paying her a visit.

And can I just tell you, darling? Those ponies have got the best tutus. They've got pink, and yellow, and lavender! Itā€™s not unusual to see Pinky, with her mane flowing in the wind, trotting about the fields in the most dazzling, miniature tutus imaginable. The perfect way to bring that bit of ballet flair to lifeā€¦ even on the hoof! šŸ˜‰

Pink Tutu and Coastal Charms

Littlehampton, Iā€™ve got to admit, you've really won me over. You might not be a grand capital city, but your small-town charm, those breathtaking coastal views, the feel of salt in the air... youā€™ve really made a mark.

And my darling readers, I think I speak for us both when I say - keep wearing those pink tutus! Embrace that sparkle, embrace those happy feels! And remember, every single one of you, yes you! You too can find the inner magic, the beauty, and the joy that I found here in Littlehampton. Just take a little walk, dance a little dance, and let those beautiful pink tutus remind you: You're already a ballerina at heart! šŸ©°šŸ’–
