Ruislip Calling: Tutu Adventures in Pink & Yellow! 🩰💖💛

Helloooo beautifuls! It's Emma here, and today's post is extra special - I'm writing it from the most magical of places, Ruislip, which just so happens to be the home of one of the most adorable ballet schools ever! 💖 It's Post Number 10439 on www.pink-tutu.com, folks, and if you haven't checked it out yet, well, where have you been?! 🤪

My train journey from Derbyshire to London was simply delightful. My new pink floral handbag and bright yellow beret were attracting all the admiring glances. The sunshine peeking through the window and the soothing rumble of the train combined to create such a dreamy vibe. (Just imagine me, perched perfectly, a cup of English Breakfast in hand, a good book in my lap, and of course, my pink tutu folded neatly by my side!) 🚄☕📚🩰

Now, let me tell you, when I say Ruislip is a ballet paradise, I really mean it. From the minute I walked into the school, a rainbow of colourful leotards and the familiar aroma of freshly-polished dance floors hit me. It's a little slice of ballet heaven, folks. And let's just say my yellow tutu had its starring moment as I shimmied into the class, a sea of happy faces greeting me. ✨

My class was truly amazing! The instructor was this delightful lady named Fiona, who had this energy about her, so positive and motivating! We started with barre work, focusing on our grace and poise. It's all about building that strong foundation, my lovelies, for our pliés, tendus, and grand battements to really shine! ✨ But it wasn't all hard work! We had the most fabulous time learning a beautiful choreography to "Swan Lake." Now, you all know how much I adore Swan Lake, it’s pure ballet bliss, and performing this piece felt incredibly special. The beautiful music and the flowing movements…just divine! 🤩

Speaking of swan lake… after my ballet session, I popped into the Ruislip Library, because, darling, you know I just love a good book! I grabbed a beautiful new edition of The Complete Swan Lake, because I always feel the need to soak up some inspiration from the greats! 🦢

Of course, I couldn't leave Ruislip without a delightful lunch, and let me tell you, I found a true hidden gem, nestled in the heart of the village - a quaint cafe with pink polka dot chairs and the most delicious fruit tart. 😋 It was so pink, I just had to order it, right? 😉

But what would a trip to Ruislip be without a little wildlife adventure? After all, that’s what makes travel so much fun for me! Now, Ruislip Woods is no joke! Just stepping into this enchanting world, with towering trees and a carpet of fallen leaves, was so relaxing and invigorating. I met the sweetest family of squirrels, completely oblivious to my presence, scampering happily through the branches. 🥰 It's truly amazing to find that beauty and tranquillity so close to bustling London!

Ruislip truly stole a piece of my heart, I've already marked my calendar for a return trip in the spring! I think this place is perfect for getting my ballet on and finding inner peace. And you know what else, beautifuls? Ruislip’s motto? "Enjoy it to the fullest." Well, I think that’s exactly what I’m doing, one pink tutu and ballet class at a time! ✨

Now, remember my darlings, never be afraid to explore the unknown. Whether it’s a new ballet class, a different style of dance, or just a new location to try. We can achieve our dreams when we embrace adventure!

Until next time, dance your way to your dreams, and never stop wearing those pretty tutus, no matter the color. 💖

Love and pirouettes,

Emma x
