Hey Tutu Tribe! ? It's your favourite Derbyshire ballerina, Emma, reporting live from the cobbled streets of Warrington! It feels SO good to be back on the road, tutu in tow, and with a brand new pink feather boa in my suitcase (can you tell I’m on a serious pink kick at the moment?).
This whole “pink tutu evangelist” gig has truly become my calling. Who would’ve thought that my little blog about finding the perfect pink tulle would lead to inspiring dancers all over the country (and even a few across the pond)? ? But let me tell you, it’s a truly beautiful thing – seeing everyone twirling around in their own vibrant pinks, their eyes sparkling with joy. That’s what it’s all about!
So, this week I'm taking the train up north to Warrington – I’ve been hearing whispers of a secret ballet class that only takes place under the stars. I mean, come on, can you imagine?! The twinkle of stars and the beautiful art of ballet – my heart’s already doing pirouettes! ✨
And then, to top it all off, there's a special performance happening at the Warrington Hippodrome, featuring a live orchestra, incredible lighting and a dazzling story of swans… and I just know the feather tutu I'm wearing is going to steal the show! (Can't tell you how many sequins I sewed onto it, let’s just say my needle and thread have had a workout).
But before the magic of the ballet begins, I’m making a pitstop at the lovely Cheshire Wildlife Park – it's on the way, so why not have some fun? ??? Honestly, those amazing animals could give a professional dancer a run for their money when it comes to graceful moves. (If only they could wear tutus, eh? ?). I think the flamingos are going to be especially fond of the pink theme – they can practically match my boa! ?
So, keep an eye out on www.pink-tutu.com for loads more updates throughout the day, including sneak peeks at the feather tutu, a full outfit breakdown, and my absolute favourite parts of the wildlife park (they even have a sloth - just the cutest!) Plus, there's always time for some impromptu twirling. After all, life’s a stage, and I'm here to take centre stage… in pink, of course. ?
Catch you later, tutu fanatics! ?
And Now for Some Fabulous Details…
The feather tutu: ?
Okay, this beauty is custom made and honestly, it's the stuff dreams are made of! Fluffy, pink and just the right amount of glitz and glamour, with feathers flowing everywhere, and that signature twirling flair… it's the embodiment of “ballet goes Hollywood”. You can practically hear the waltz playing as you walk by!
What to expect at Warrington's "Secret" Ballet Class:
Now, this class isn't a secret for the students who are regulars – they’re absolutely buzzing about it, which I think is lovely! It’s open to everyone who wants to experience the wonder of ballet outdoors under the moonlight, a unique and truly magical setting that makes it a whole new way to learn and appreciate ballet. I'll definitely be sharing all the insider details (like the perfect move for a starlit night) on my Instagram stories tonight, so be sure to check it out!
Why you NEED to visit Warrington:
From its stunning Victorian architecture and cobblestone streets to its beautiful parks and canal network, Warrington is charming, vibrant and so friendly. And, I’ve gotta say, I absolutely adore the shops… It’s the perfect spot to find one-of-a-kind trinkets, quirky clothes (think retro vibes!), and that special something to bring your outfit to life. ?
My outfit essentials for this adventure:
I’m a huge believer in layering – even in December – because it’s about finding that perfect balance between staying cosy and looking your absolute best! I'm definitely taking my trusted white cashmere sweater, because let's face it, nothing beats a classic. But, my most recent obsession has got to be my sequin-studded ballet flats. They add a touch of playful glam to everything I wear. ✨ Plus, you can never go wrong with a stylish hat! I'm planning on topping off my outfit with a blush pink wide-brimmed hat with a matching pink feather to echo the feather tutu, but just a touch more elegant. (I think I need to add this look to my Pinterest board!)
Pink Tutu Travels: A sneak peek into my next adventure!
Now, the Warrington adventures are only just beginning, and the end of December isn't far away... My diary is packed, and I can’t wait to take you all with me! I've been hearing whispers of a horse-drawn carriage ride through the heart of Snowdonia, followed by a cozy afternoon with hot chocolate by a roaring fire – could it be my ultimate winter getaway? We’ll find out soon! ❄️
I'll be sharing my travel tips (and a few delicious cake recipes!), my ballerina-approved wardrobe picks, and some stunning landscapes as we journey to this beautiful destination. So stay tuned, you wonderful Tutu Tribe – the next chapter is just beginning. ?
Happy Twirling,
Emma
