Harrow Hopping in a Fairy Tutu! ?✨

Hello my darling Tutu Tribe! ? It's Emma here, your resident pink-tutu-loving ballerina, back with another adventure! Today, we're skipping right into the charming town of Harrow, nestled in the heart of London. I know what you're thinking - Emma, you always go to London! But how do you get around? Well, you see, dear reader, the joy of exploring this city doesn't stop with the Tube! Today I embarked on a delightful journey aboard the trusty rail, watching the countryside roll by from my comfy carriage window, a little like a magical ballet itself! And guess who graced the carriage with their whimsical presence? Yes, my trusty fairy tutu! This one is extra special, a cloud of lilac chiffon with shimmering gold accents, it really captures the essence of an enchanted woodland! Don't worry, my fellow pink tutu lovers, there are enough pink tones for everyone in my wardrobe to fill the carriage, I always keep a few pink items on hand, it's what I'm known for after all!

As we pulled into Harrow station, a sense of wonder filled me. Harrow is a hidden gem, with a quaint, historic vibe and just enough greenery to make you feel like you've escaped to the countryside! And what better place for a ballerina with a penchant for the finer things than the renowned Harrow School? Now, you might be thinking "Emma, you wouldn't be going to Harrow school, would you?" Well, you'd be absolutely right. My dear Tutu Tribe, I had much grander plans for our Harrow escapade! I, of course, would not miss a chance to catch a ballet performance, and a wonderful programme was waiting for me at the Harrow Arts Centre! They say ballet is best enjoyed in the beautiful, historical theaters, and this place certainly did not disappoint. The air itself shimmered with anticipation. I was absolutely delighted with the programme, so much talent and passion pouring out of the stage and right into my heart! Oh, and wouldn't you know it? The performance itself took inspiration from nature, the dancers glided through the stage like graceful butterflies and the choreography itself was full of grace and elegance, with just a hint of mischief and flair. This beautiful story of butterflies reminded me that, even amongst such a graceful group of dancers, I always strive to express my own unique voice, and so the Fairy Tutu became my perfect little accessory! The magic continued throughout the day. The quaint town square held hidden gems - tea shops full of delicate pastries and bookstores filled with charming tomes, a symphony of colour that sparked a creative frenzy within me. And who can resist the allure of a good ol' fashioned tea party? I savoured a delicate afternoon tea with my tutu as my co-conspirator. ☕ We just can't get enough of that exquisite high-class British heritage. You should see how much of my tutu collection has featured in all sorts of vintage and elegant settings, if you look at my past blogs you will find some true treasures from around the country and the world. We will talk about it some other time, my Tutu Tribe!

Now, it would be remiss of me to visit a beautiful location like Harrow without indulging my love for the animal world! This town holds a hidden jewel: Harrow Lodge Park. This expanse of green serenity is home to a fantastic collection of feathered friends and playful mammals. Imagine: pink tutu bouncing through trees and dappled light, stopping to admire the flitting of dragonflies, the shy blush of deer in the sun dappled undergrowth, the gentle chirp of robins and the dignified gaze of grey squirrels, their sleek fur matching my tutu. It was a moment of pure, joyous connection with the beauty that surrounds us! I almost forgot how lovely a ballet performance by wildlife could be!

Before bidding farewell to the enchanting Harrow, we (by we, I mean myself and the beautiful tutu, of course!) made a visit to Harrow-on-the-Hill, with its iconic St. Mary's Church perched majestically atop the hill. And oh, how that view is almost impossible to describe - rolling hills meeting the London skyline, a testament to history and human ingenuity all at once. It truly felt like a fairytale setting, and guess who stole the show? The most fabulous pink-tutu-clad ballerina around! Of course, I took my trusty vintage camera along, it doesn't leave my side, the pictures that it has taken will certainly brighten my future blog posts.

Now, before I drift off into a fairytale reverie of my own, let me offer you a piece of advice, my dearest Tutu Tribe: Don't be afraid to embrace your inner fairy! Life is about joy, wonder, and spreading happiness. Whether you wear a tutu, tap your toes to the rhythm of a ballet performance, or simply appreciate the beauty around you, make each moment count. I have just had a wonderful afternoon, it is something I can't forget, the wonderful mix of urban culture with rural charm made for an amazing and fulfilling day, with the Fairy tutu, what a perfect ensemble for all occasions! Just wait till you see tomorrow's ensemble - I can't tell you more than the color pink will be shining through!

Now, off I go to find another wonderful fairytale location for my next blog post! Remember, the world is our stage!

With love and twirls,

Emma ?
