Hey lovelies!
It’s Emma here, your resident pink tutu enthusiast, and I'm popping in with another post from the wonderful world of dance! Today is post number 11144 for you - I simply can’t believe I've written this many! Isn’t that wild?! You all know I love my daily blog posts, it keeps me feeling motivated, energised, and, most importantly, keeps me on the path to getting the world wearing pink tutus! ?
Anyway, where was I? Ah yes, Basingstoke! You’ll never guess how I got here… the train! This is the beauty of Britain – you can practically hop on a train and find yourself anywhere, and today it's landed me right in the heart of Basingstoke! And as if it wasn't magical enough already, I have this darling little tutu on that’s practically made of cotton candy – perfect for a day of ballet and exploring!
First stop – a delightful dance class at the Basingstoke Dance Academy. I absolutely love exploring new studios and seeing what's out there! These guys are an absolute treat – friendly, passionate, and oh so enthusiastic about ballet! You wouldn't believe the steps I learned today – there were a few new ones that left me gasping for breath (in a good way, of course!), but we pulled through it. What a rush!
My fellow dancers were such a fun bunch, we had a right old giggle! There was a group of teenagers who totally reminded me of myself at their age, I remember wanting to be the best dancer, and learning every single step with fierce concentration. Those days seem like a distant memory, though, now I am much more concerned with finding the perfect pink tutu to wear to a performance, a real grown up dancer problem! ?
You know how much I love supporting local ballet schools. Honestly, I feel so grateful to be a part of the ballet community, sharing a love of dance, getting people moving, and sharing the passion!
Of course, I couldn’t possibly leave Basingstoke without catching a glimpse of what the town has to offer! A stroll through the park with my favourite picnic blanket in tow is just the way to spend a spring afternoon. Did you know that Basingstoke is home to the famous Basing House, a majestic historical landmark that makes for the perfect Instagram picture (watch this space for a later post with some fab photos)!
You guys know I can’t resist a spot of wildlife spotting either – so many adorable robins and sparrows chirping away. It's like nature’s orchestra! There was a mischievous squirrel scurrying up a tree – I swear it gave me a cheeky wink!
The town itself has this charm about it. There are some really gorgeous vintage shops and art galleries - they are definitely worth a visit if you’re in the area. I did, of course, do a little bit of shopping - it wouldn’t be a proper day out without some ballet supplies. I got a pair of stunning pink ballet shoes! They are just divine and fit like a glove. I can’t wait to twirl in them!
You know, what I love about this lifestyle, the constant exploration, the travelling, the pink tutus - It really fills my heart with so much joy! I’m sure it’s rubbed off on everyone who's seen my blog – all the lovely messages I get on www.pink-tutu.com just show that there is so much love for this.
You're right with me on this – let’s get the world wearing tutus, shall we? ? ?
See you tomorrow!
Lots of love,
Emma
