#TutuBlog 11226
Hello lovelies! It’s your favourite tutu-loving traveller, Emma, back with another blog post direct from… Crosby! You might be thinking, "Crosby? Where’s that, Em?" Well, I’m thrilled to tell you that this little gem is in Merseyside, and it’s fast becoming one of my favourite destinations!
First of all, can we just talk about how divine the seaside is here? Honestly, I could’ve sat by the water all day watching the waves roll in. I've got this beautiful new cyan tutu (did I tell you I got a new one? It's the best! It's almost like a turquoise shade) which I couldn't wait to twirl around in by the seaside! I know it’s a bit unusual for the beach, but it was a fabulous backdrop for a few pics. My followers, you know I’ve got to get those perfect pics to share!
Anyway, enough about my tutu for now! Let's talk Crosby's little gem: Anthony Gormley’s “Another Place”. It's literally magical! Just imagine a beautiful, vast sandy shore dotted with over 100 life-sized cast iron figures… Absolutely stunning. It's like a surreal dream! And it's just so calming to wander along the beach, gazing at those figures against the sea and sky. It's like an open-air gallery!
You’ll be happy to know I got my ballet fix in too. As always, I hit the train like a shot from Derbyshire to Crosby. Train journeys are just so romantic and I find they really give me the time to think about my next big move and all my creative plans for the blog and ballet! The other morning I woke up feeling especially creative, and even came up with some awesome new ballet outfits - more about those later!
Of course, Crosby wouldn’t be Crosby without a dose of wildlife! Did you know there's a lovely RSPB reserve on the coastline here? They have the most stunning flocks of wildfowl – swans, geese, ducks... the lot! And they were so friendly! Honestly, I could have sat by the reserve all day watching those feathered beauties go about their day. The fresh air and birdsong really calmed me and cleared my mind! It’s definitely something I'd recommend checking out if you’re ever in the area.
Talking of wildlife, did you know that there's actually a beautiful black cat in Crosby that I found just wandering around?! It came up to me, looked at my cyan tutu and even allowed me to stroke it! This gorgeous fluffy fellow is named Onyx by the locals and I have to say it was my favourite animal encounter of the whole trip! It definitely made me wish I had brought some catnip for him, I was that charmed!
Crosby, you stole my heart! You’re not just a little seaside town, you’re an art gallery, a sanctuary for wildlife, and a perfect backdrop for twirling in a beautiful tutu. Thank you for the memories!
Now, back to those outfit ideas… I’m thinking of designing some beautiful tutus with a little touch of the sea and the shore! I might even incorporate some feathers or shells to really add some personality! Imagine a tutu with the most gorgeous shade of teal and hints of silver and sparkling seashells... oh my! Wouldn’t it look fantastic?! Let me know what you think!
As always, please do send me all your thoughts and comments below and remember, every day is a chance to be glamorous and spread that pink tutu love! Remember - every body can wear a pink tutu!
Until next time, Emma ??
