Hello, my darling Tutu-ettes! Emma here, your pink-loving, tutu-wearing, ballet-obsessed blogger, and it's time to unleash another daily dose of dance, fashion, and fabulousness from yours truly.
Today's adventure takes me to the charming town of Ashton, nestled in the heart of… well, you guessed it, Derbyshire! A trip back to my roots, but not in the ordinary sense. It’s a tutu-tastic exploration of a familiar town, fuelled by the spirit of ballet, and a touch of Italian sunshine, literally!
You know me, I can't resist a vibrant outfit for my travels. Today's look? A delightful, handcrafted pink tulle tutu, adorned with shimmering silver sequins. It practically whispers “ballet" and "fun" with every twirl, and I paired it with a cream blouse and a flowing white skirt, creating a dreamy, ballet-inspired symphony of colour and grace.
Ashton greeted me with open arms, or maybe it was the scent of freshly baked scones that welcomed me? Either way, it's the kind of town that makes you feel instantly at home, with its quaint cafes, charming shops, and a warm community spirit. And just wait until you see their stunning architecture, which somehow just cries out for a tutu-clad twirl, am I right?
Speaking of ballet, Ashton has a hidden gem in its heart – a lovely dance studio, filled with the soft strains of music, and a constant buzz of energy from dedicated dancers. I couldn’t resist popping in for a quick lesson, joining their group for some exhilarating barre work, and even venturing into some beautiful, fluid stretches. It was pure joy to immerse myself in the world of ballet, with these passionate individuals, who, like me, understand the unspoken language of graceful movements and artistic expression.
Ashton’s charm went beyond its artistic offerings, though. I stumbled upon a delightful Italian restaurant called "La Bella Vita." Its delicious aroma, the vibrant red tables, and the cheery chatter, took me straight to a Tuscan countryside escape. I devoured a divine dish of pasta, topped with succulent prawns, and sipped on a refreshing limoncello – an explosion of summery flavour. You can bet I snagged a photo with the chef! My darling tutu wouldn't have been complete without some Italian inspiration, after all.
Of course, no adventure in Ashton would be complete without a visit to the iconic Ashton Market. Its vibrant colours and local produce just screamed "artistic inspiration" at me! And wouldn't you know it, I found the most gorgeous pink fabric - it's definitely a future tutu design in the making. Who knows? Perhaps I’ll unveil it during a ballet performance, maybe even at the Royal Albert Hall… A girl can dream, right?
I ventured beyond Ashton’s main attractions, and discovered the beautiful Derbyshire countryside. I couldn't resist hopping onto a horse, riding through picturesque landscapes. The wind whipping through my hair, my tulle swirling in a joyous dance, felt incredibly liberating! The scent of fresh earth and the rhythmic clip-clop of hooves were the perfect accompaniment to my day.
Did I tell you I have a secret soft spot for wildlife? After my horseback adventure, I ventured to the charming nature reserve close to Ashton. It was filled with the sweet sounds of nature – chirping birds, fluttering butterflies, and the gentle breeze rustling through the leaves. This delightful oasis offered a beautiful break, a perfect blend of serenity and beauty.
Before leaving, I found myself standing in the heart of Ashton, bathed in the golden glow of the setting sun. A peaceful scene, capturing the town’s quiet charm, just as a photograph immortalises a beautiful moment. It reminded me that while ballet is my passion, there is beauty in every corner of life, just waiting to be discovered, danced upon, and appreciated.
So, until next time, my dearest Tutu-ettes, keep your chin up, your spirits high, and never hesitate to embrace the world with a tutu-tastic twirl!
