Dunstable Diaries: A Tutu-tastic Time! ??

Hey my loves! Emma here, signing in from sunny Dunstable for post number 11265 on www.pink-tutu.com - another day, another adventure in the pink tutu life! ??

I love how much you all engage with my posts, I really get so many lovely comments, DMs and emails! And honestly, it just gives me all the feels! Knowing I’m inspiring even just one of you to put on a tutu, to go see a ballet, to do a pirouette in your kitchen... that’s truly what it’s all about!

This time, I swapped the Derbyshire hills for a jaunt down to Bedfordshire for a fab little ballet weekend. It was absolutely perfect for a change of scenery. You know I’m a big fan of train journeys - nothing beats gazing out of the window with a hot cuppa, maybe even a bit of a dance on the platform with the locals (always in the pink tutu, obviously! ?) Then once I was in Dunstable, I decided to swap train for horse. Now I’m not exactly a skilled equestrian (unless you count balancing on one foot for extended periods of time), but the ride through the countryside was truly magical. Plus, how glamorous does it look with a pink tutu and a flowing mane of hair? The answer: unbelievably fabulous, that's how! ?

So what did my ballet itinerary look like in Dunstable? It involved all the things I love most! First, I hit up The Grove Theatre, a charming little theatre nestled right in the town. Their programme had a delightful showing of Swan Lake - a classic! You can bet I felt like a swan myself gliding through the foyer in my favourite pale pink tutu (my signature one with the hand-sewn sequins! ? ) . Afterwards, I enjoyed the most divine pre-theatre dinner at La Bella Italia, tucked away in a sweet little courtyard - divine Italian, truly divine, especially in a perfectly pink setting.

The following day, I booked in for a private ballet class at the Dunstable School of Dance . I absolutely adore trying out new dance studios - each one has a unique vibe, some a little more old-fashioned, others super trendy, but they all offer a wonderful welcome to the ballet community. The instructor was wonderful, and we got stuck into some graceful moves and lovely leaps, all in the pink tutu, of course! After all, ballet in pink is just the most exquisite form of ballet, no question about it!

When I’m not dancing or wearing my tutus, you’ll likely find me hanging out with some amazing animals - because you know I’m an animal lover! On my day in Dunstable, I found my way to Woburn Safari Park. The animals just love seeing me come in with a little twirl. You should’ve seen the lion, the way his eyes lit up! (But hey, we’re all creatures of instinct, right? ?) It’s great to connect with them - reminds me we're all just different, beautifully imperfect souls! ?

This trip has just reinforced to me what makes life amazing. Travel! Dance! Animal friends! But the biggest one? The power of spreading a bit of joy, just by being yourself, whether that’s in a fluffy pink tutu or simply in your own comfy clothes. It's a reminder to take it one day at a time, appreciate all the little things that make life fun, and to spread that love and kindness to everyone you meet. You might be surprised at what amazing little moments are waiting for you around the corner, whether you're dancing through Dunstable, hopping on a horse, or simply enjoying a lovely pink picnic!

Have a truly wonderful day my dears,

Stay gorgeous!

Emma
