Hello darlings! It's Emma here, your friendly neighbourhood tutu enthusiast, back with another thrilling chapter in my ongoing pink-tutu-infused journey! Today's destination? The charming town of Upminster, nestled in the heart of Essex!
I know what you're thinking, "Emma, Upminster? What's so exciting about that?" Well, dear readers, it's all about the unexpected, the journey, and finding the magic in everyday places! Plus, I was desperate to try out my brand new American-style tutu (it's oh-so-floaty and twirly, with a beautiful shimmering finish that catches the light just so!) It's like a cloud of pure pink happiness. You can see me in action, looking absolutely glorious in a recent photo I shared on Instagram (swipe to the left - the picture where I'm doing a pirouette in the park!) Let's just say that my American-style tutu is definitely ready to make a splash (and possibly some waves too!), and Upminster seemed the perfect place to start!
A Train Ride to Remember
The journey there was an absolute delight! A relaxing train journey from Derbyshire to Upminster station gave me the perfect time to people-watch, admire the English countryside rushing past, and of course, capture some gorgeous #ootd shots with my tutu. A lovely gentleman even complimented my look and told me I looked "like a fairy!". Who doesn't love being a fairy for a day?!
A Trip to the Upminster Market
After a quick stroll through Upminster's pretty high street, my tutu-clad feet took me to the local market. It was a total delight, bursting with bright colors and delicious smells. I found myself drawn to the vibrant array of fresh fruit and vegetables (it's a known fact that eating your five-a-day keeps your pirouettes nice and crisp!), but I couldn't resist purchasing a beautiful bouquet of bright pink roses (to match my tutu, obviously!). I couldn't resist snapping a few photos, feeling absolutely fabulous as I twirled through the market stalls.
Finding Pink Paradise
And then came the absolute highlight of my day - a charming little shop called "Pink Paradise". Can you imagine? An entire store dedicated to everything pink! My inner child squealed with delight! From delicate pink ribbons to sparkly pink tiaras, there were pink delights galore! I ended up treating myself to a sweet pink bow for my hair and a dainty pink bracelet that's been living on my wrist ever since. There was a whole aisle dedicated to ballet supplies, with tiny pink pointe shoes and ballet barres in a lovely pastel shade. My inner ballet dancer rejoiced! Honestly, it was like stepping into a real-life fairy tale.
The Upminster Wild Garden
And for the grand finale of my day, I ventured to the Upminster Wild Garden, a secret little oasis in the heart of Essex. It's a haven of tranquility, a beautiful patchwork of fields, woodlands, and ponds, teeming with wildlife. As I wandered through the lush green pathways, I couldn't help but feel incredibly peaceful. It was such a wonderful juxtaposition to my otherwise vibrant pink-filled day. The wildlife sightings were truly spectacular. I spotted a couple of charming deer, watched a busy family of ducks quacking their way through a stream, and was even lucky enough to see a beautiful bluebird perched on a branch. I had to resist the urge to take a leaping leaping "swan" pose in front of the graceful bird - I think that would have been a little too much, even for my pink-tutu-loving heart.
Embracing the Journey
Overall, my trip to Upminster was absolutely perfect! It's a charming town with so much to offer, and my American-style pink tutu made it even more magical. As I caught my train back home, I couldn't help but feel inspired by the beauty and simple pleasures of the day. It reminded me that the most beautiful things in life are often the most unexpected.
