Hello lovelies! It's Emma, back with you again, and this time I'm writing to you from sunny Rhyl! Yes, you heard that right - I traded in the Derbyshire hills for a day of seaside bliss, and I'm happy to report it was fabulously pink-tutu-worthy. ?
This is post #11348 on www.pink-tutu.com, so let me guess - you're all sooooooo excited for another day of pink, tutus, and travelling, right? Right? ?
So, I woke up this morning feeling all en pointe (and let's be honest, my usual morning ritual involves a lot of stretching and, yes, wearing my tutu). It's my little secret weapon for feeling like I'm floating, ready for the day's adventure. ✨
This time, instead of my usual mode of transport (horseback, natch), I opted for the romantic and vintage vibe of a train journey. There's just something magical about watching the countryside blur past as you sit with a steaming mug of tea, feeling that nostalgic train rattle beneath you. ☕
And let me tell you, the Welsh coastline didn't disappoint! The kind of sea views that take your breath away (or at least make you wish you were dancing on the shore, but we'll get to that later...). ?
Rhyl itself was a delightful little seaside town, buzzing with holidaymakers and families, the perfect spot to let loose in my new tutu! I mean, you just can't go wrong with a fluffy pink tutu paired with a bright sunshine day, can you? ?
For this special occasion, I decided to go all-out with a European-inspired tutu. Picture a gorgeous pink, layered skirt that flows beautifully in the breeze, paired with a fitted bodice and a sparkling tulle overlay. It felt elegant, fun, and totally chic, the perfect combination for a seaside stroll! ?
First stop? The most amazing ice cream shop - all those delicious, summery flavours were a symphony for the taste buds, I swear I could almost hear a graceful, delicate ballerina performing on the stage with those cones. ?
Speaking of graceful performances... I was so excited to hear that Rhyl actually has its own ballet school! I know what you're thinking, "Emma, you can't just waltz into any ballet studio wearing a tutu!" And I almost didn't! But my adventurous heart took over, and with my trusty pink ballet shoes tucked away in my handbag, I found myself stepping inside the studio for a fun, spontaneous ballet session! ?
Turns out, Rhyl's local ballet scene was lively and full of amazing dancers, some even taking a page out of my "tutu every day" philosophy. There were adorable little ones just learning their steps, graceful young ladies nailing the grand jeté, and even some experienced dancers looking ready to conquer the Bolshoi. ?
But let me tell you, it's all about the love of dance. There were no rigid rules or snobby attitudes. Just a bunch of people, passionate about ballet, having fun and letting loose in a supportive, encouraging space. ?
That feeling, my dears, is something I want everyone to experience! Don't let anyone tell you you can't join the world of ballet, or that wearing a pink tutu is something only for professionals! Ballet is for everyone, from little ones twirling around in their living rooms to adults rocking out to "Swan Lake" with a glass of wine (guilty as charged!? ).
After my impromptu ballet class, I couldn't resist taking a quick dip in the sea. And of course, no seaside adventure is complete without a delicious seaside meal.
I settled on a traditional fish and chips, enjoyed on the beach, the sun warm on my skin, the salty air filling my lungs, the laughter of children playing all around me - it felt perfect. ?
I can't deny I missed my horse for a bit (you know, her grace, her stamina, her mane that could put any ballerina to shame), but there's something truly freeing about letting yourself be carried by the currents of life. And Rhyl, with its colourful charm, made me feel exactly that: free and content. ?
As the sun began to set, casting a beautiful golden light over the coastline, I realised something very important. It's not just about where you are or what you're doing - it's about the attitude you carry with you, the joy you choose to share, and the passion you unleash upon the world. And honestly? Wearing a pink tutu helps too! ?
Rhyl, with its sunny beaches and spirited people, became a beautiful reminder that life is an adventure, a journey that takes us to unexpected places and offers unexpected thrills. It’s about taking the plunge, putting on your tutu (figuratively or literally, whatever your heart desires!), and embracing the moment, fully and unapologetically. ?
Stay tuned, my dearest pink-tutu lovers, because I have so many more adventures planned, and I can't wait to share them with you! Until next time, remember - always embrace the pink and never stop dancing! ?
With love, Emma x
