Darling, it's been a whirlwind of a month! I've danced, I've dined, I've gossiped, and, oh, my dear, I've seen some absolutely phenomenal ballet performances that have left me absolutely breathless. Now, let me fill you in on all the delightful drama that unfolded this May, shall we? Parisian Dreams & Exquisite Dreamscapes

First stop, the City of Lights! Paris always has an air of romanticism and artistry. The Palais Garnier was a feast for the eyes, both in terms of its grand architecture and the dazzling production of "La BayadĆØre". My darling, the sheer volume of dancers and the opulent costumes left me speechless. The choreography by Marius Petipa is an absolute classic - there are passages that feel both fresh and timeless. I was especially captivated by the "Kingdom of the Shades" scene, itā€™s ethereal and truly heartbreaking. I must say the lead ballerina, Nadia, was luminous and her performance gave me goosebumps. She had a certain grace and poise, a complete dedication to the choreography, which brought the tragedy to life. Oh, and her *jetĆ©s*, darling, just perfection!

And while we're on the subject of Paris, one cannot ignore the allure of the *Ballet de l'OpĆ©ra National de Paris*, oh, how it ignites my soul! Itā€™s almost a sacred ritual to be a part of their ballet season. I always manage to find myself captivated by their artistic choices and the breathtaking talent they cultivate. The world premiere of a new creation by the renowned choreographer Benjamin Millepied left me positively buzzing. His work "The Seven Veils" explored themes of lust, power, and vulnerability, making it absolutely fascinating! The costumes, the choreography, everything, oh my, darling, *exquisite!* I adore how Millepied embraces both the beauty of classical ballet with innovative and modern techniques. Vienna's Regal Flair

A journey to Vienna always feels so decadent and regal, a truly enriching experience! I simply had to catch the premiere of "Sleeping Beauty" at the Vienna State Opera. They're a company known for their exceptional dancers and dazzling productions, and let me tell you, this one did not disappoint! The sets were utterly magical, the costumes exquisite, the artistry so *divine*, it felt almost sacrilegious to applaud! I was mesmerised by the delicate elegance of the dancers, their precision and control, you wouldn't believe the breathtaking grace. And, darling, don't even get me started on the finale! It was nothing short of breathtaking! From Manhattan to the Majestic Coliseum

Back in Manhattan, New York City Balletā€™s new production of ā€œSwan Lakeā€ really wowed me. You know, itā€™s a classic, but Christopher Wheeldon's reinterpretation had a truly magical touch. The company, always incredibly energetic and polished, felt re-invigorated. And darling, there was an undeniable romanticism, something utterly delightful. And speaking of enchanting ballet experiences, the American Ballet Theatre's production of "Giselle" at the Coliseum had me in absolute tears! You know I adore the ethereal story and it's something of a personal obsession, and the performance was *exceptional*! There's just something magical about this classic, how the story speaks directly to the heart! A Breath of Fresh Air: Modern Balletā€™s Flourishing

Now, if you thought I would only speak about classical ballet, darling, *think again*! The world of ballet is constantly evolving, always a dynamic and exciting space to explore, embracing creativity, individuality, and passion! I'm very interested to see the bold and daring movements of contemporary ballet! Iā€™m not one for all the *fuss* in ballet, some can find it very boring you know, I prefer the freedom of modern expressions, with less focus on perfect form. There are these really inspiring contemporary companies who are putting together thought-provoking works and challenging convention.

I attended an absolutely phenomenal show at The Royal Opera House, *oh, so impressive, so fabulous*. A modern interpretation of Stravinskyā€™s ā€œThe Rite of Springā€ left me stunned. It was uncompromising, raw, and beautifully intense, perfectly expressing the emotions within the score, making it all the more compelling. I must say it made a real statement!

And across the pond, at the Hamburg Ballet in Germany, their performance of a new work, "Danz" *truly captivated* me! Iā€™m not usually a fan of abstract ballet, darling, but their innovative work was truly something to experience. It embraced minimalist costumes and sets, giving you the purest, most stripped back representation of movement and feeling. And, oh, the music! An original score by the talented up-and-coming composer, Jonas Peterson. Such depth, and such beauty!

Oh, and darling, have you ever considered traveling to Tokyo? Thereā€™s such a magical artistic vibrancy, so unique and expressive! While I've never been, their artistic excellence reaches around the globe, captivating so many with their productions, which are *simply *fabulous*! The Tokyo Ballet is considered by some to be the most beautiful in the world, it possesses an indescribable artistry and style that takes you beyond just watching, but feels like truly entering a captivating, new dimension.

So you see, darling, I'm a ballet enthusiast through and through! This is a whirlwind tour of some incredible ballets and their talented performers that have kept me glued to my seat in absolute awe, every single performance a delight. I simply had to share it with you all.

Keep dancing, darling, always keep dancing. Until next month, *farewell!*
