As you know, tutus are my absolute favourite! I always say, a life without a tutu is a life not lived to the fullest! And you know what, this week we're diving into a year of incredible, unforgettable tutu moments! ✨

Is it the music of Mariah Carey blasting on your Walkman? 🎶 (Who needs headphones, anyway, am I right? 😄) Or maybe it's the dazzling neon fashion, grunge style and... dare I say it? baggy jeans! 😱 Don't worry, you wouldn't be caught dead in them at a ballet show! 😉

Tutu Moments of August 1991New York City Ballet is Shining Bright! - On this very date in 1991, the iconic New York City Ballet, that prestigious, stunning dance company, graced the stage with a performance of "Serenade" and "Symphony in C." I bet they looked absolutely phenomenal in their tutus, swirling around like clouds in the air! 🩰☁️ I must admit, seeing performances like this are a reminder of how truly amazing ballet is - the skill, the elegance, the absolute grace! It's just simply incredible! 💖
Remembering a Dance Icon - We're talking, of course, about the legendary Rudolf Nureyev! On August 16th, just a few days earlier, he sadly passed away. His legacy, though, remains stronger than ever, particularly in the world of tutus. His powerful performance in “The Sleeping Beauty”, featuring a majestic, billowing, iconic tutu, is simply iconic and I’m sure that performance continues to inspire dancers today! 🌠
London, Fashion Hub of the World - And London, oh London! This glamorous city, home to so much of the dance world, was absolutely bursting with excitement for a dazzling showcase called “A Celebration of Fashion” taking place at the Dorchester hotel! This fashion affair surely brought out some dazzling dresses, maybe even some tutus! 😄 If there's a dress or outfit that involves a twirl, you know it was a showstopper!
This year, in particular, is all about celebrating dance! The world, it seems, is falling in love with ballet more and more each day. The movement, the elegance, the sheer athleticism - It's truly breathtaking. ✨
And what's a good show without an audience to appreciate it? That's where the magical world of tutus truly shines! 😉💖
