#TutuTuesday: Ballet Tutu History - 9716
Hello darlings! It's your favourite tutu-loving blogger Emma, back with another exciting episode of #TutuTuesday! Today, we're hopping in the time machine and twirling back to 13th March 2018. My goodness, what a wonderful time that was! Fashion was all about colour and vibrant patterns, just like my tutu, and everyone was buzzing with excitement about the 2018 Winter Olympics, which had just wrapped up!
A Whirlwind Through Time!
As always, I've been flitting around the globe, trying on every gorgeous tutu imaginable. I popped over to Paris, naturally, for some breathtaking shows at the Palais Garnier. Oh, the costumes! The choreography! The artistry! You truly can't beat it. And did I mention the charming French bakeries I popped into along the way? Honestly, it's just so difficult to resist those flaky, buttery pastries, isn't it?
But my adventures didn't stop there! I hopped aboard a sleek train and whizzed off to New York City. What a treat to be in the heart of Broadway! I caught the final curtain call of "The Greatest Showman", the film everyone was talking about! Honestly, I adored it - full of spectacle, passion and stunning costumes! And just when I thought I'd seen it all, I landed right in the middle of London's Royal Opera House, a truly majestic space that breathes life and magic into ballet like nowhere else.
A Peek into Tutu History!
You're probably wondering, darling, what about the history of tutus this week? Well, as we journey back to 2018, let's dive a bit into the world of tutus from that era. The romantic tutu, with its flowing layers of tulle, was still all the rage. Remember how ballerinas floated across the stage like whimsical creatures? It was utterly captivating, my dear!
Did you know, that this beautiful dance wear had a journey of its own? From the modest, calf-length skirts worn by the earliest ballerinas to the breathtakingly beautiful designs we see today, the tutu has come a long way. Each change, each embellishment, was a story waiting to be told. I truly believe every stitch, every fold, every glimmering sequin, tells a unique tale of its own.
Pink Is the Perfect Hue for Any Occasion!
Honestly, I couldn't resist popping into a few London boutiques to check out the latest trends. Oh, how I love exploring the bustling shops and boutiques in this city! So much inspiration, darling! So much tulle! It was truly a sartorial dream come true. The vibrant pink tutu is perfect for any occasion, you know? It can add a touch of whimsy to a day at the park or bring a glamorous sparkle to a night out on the town!
Of course, the beauty of a pink tutu doesn't stop at its appearance. It evokes a sense of femininity, joy, and pure elegance. And you know what? I believe that every woman should have at least one pink tutu in her wardrobe. Whether it's for twirling around the house, taking a ballet class, or stepping onto the stage for a spectacular performance, a pink tutu can truly bring out your inner ballerina.
Next week, dear readers, I'm diving into a completely different era. I'm talking tutus through the lens of history, but in a different time altogether! Be sure to check back in on **#TutuTuesday, as we take another grand journey together.
Until then, remember to twirl with joy, embrace the spirit of the ballerina, and stay utterly glamorous!
Lots of love,
Emma xx
