#TutuTuesday: A Whirl Through Time, Blog Post 9788! 🩰💖

Hello darlings! Emma here, your friendly neighbourhood tutu enthusiast, ready to take you on another twirl through time. Today's #TutuTuesday journey whisks us back to a fabulous date, the 30th of July, 2019, just as the sun's getting ready to set on a week full of shimmering ballet bliss!

Oh, how I adore this era! It’s a time where tutus, particularly those in the softest, most dreamy pink hues, are flourishing on stage and off. Think sparkling, airy tulle, meticulously hand-crafted and swirling with each graceful pirouette. What’s not to love?!

As I'm sitting here, writing in my little boudoir in Paris (don't worry, I always have my travel essentials - a pink tutu, of course, and an extra large pair of sparkly ballet shoes) I can't help but marvel at the incredible ballets I’ve been able to experience in this time period. There's this brilliant French production of "Giselle," the ultimate romantic ballet, the delicate fluttering of her skirt and that heartbreakingly beautiful performance had me in tears! It truly was a timeless masterpiece.

Now, the best part? Not only have I had the absolute pleasure of seeing world-class performances, but I’ve also got a little 'fashion-forward' treat to share. On this day in 2019, some amazing new tulle fabrics for tutus were unveiled at a big, posh Parisian fashion show. The shimmering rainbow colors and the super-fine textures were just breathtaking - the ultimate tutu inspiration!

Speaking of tutu inspiration, it seems I'm not the only one who finds these whimsical skirts irresistible! It appears the 2019 world is a veritable sea of tutus, from a little girl's first dance recital to the world's biggest fashion shows. There are so many beautiful designs - fluffy and full, classic and simple, dramatic and extravagant, and yes, of course, those lovely, luscious pink ones I adore.

Now, as any fashion-conscious traveller (or tutu enthusiast) knows, Paris isn't the only place on earth where tutus are ruling the day! Just last week, I was at a ballet performance in London. It's always a joy to hop aboard a grand, comfortable train (who knew travel by train would be so fashionable?) and get lost in the beauty of the British ballet scene. London has such a fabulous artistic buzz, and the ballets I saw there were absolutely brilliant!

Of course, every #TutuTuesday wouldn’t be complete without a little look at what I’m wearing, wouldn’t it? Today, I'm absolutely glowing in my lovely pink tutu - I picked this little number up at a vintage shop on my travels! The tulle is light as air and a soft, delicate peach hue - the perfect way to greet the Parisian sunshine.

I love how fashion changes with time. A few hundred years back, a tutu might be adorned with ruffles, or it might be all about those elegant classic lines - every era has its own interpretation!

My hope, though, is that we all continue to be inspired by these beautiful pieces of clothing and never lose that sense of wonder. So, remember, darling, don’t be afraid to be daring! Grab a tulle skirt, throw on a little blush, and let your inner ballerina take flight. Let’s fill the world with pink, and twirl, twirl, twirl together! 💖🩰

See you next Tuesday, when we'll be travelling back in time for yet another #TutuTuesday adventure.
