A Blast From The Past
You know me, darlings, I love a bit of history, and York is absolutely overflowing with it! From the imposing York Minster to the charming Shambles, there's something around every corner to make you gasp with delight (or possibly scream if you encounter a ghost! Whispers ominously But don't worry, my dear, I'm armed with my glitter-infused self-defence spray).
Speaking of ghosts, the York Dungeon is apparently a must-see attraction for all you thrill seekers. I personally prefer a good dose of sunshine, but I'm sure there are some excellent photo opportunities there, particularly with the lighting, darling! Don't forget to check your hair before stepping into that one, however - wouldn't want any ghost encounters resulting in a perfectly styled bouffant looking like a nest of crows!
A Love Affair With Pink
Speaking of beauty and dazzling looks, I am completely and utterly in love with York's vibrant shopping scene! Now, you might be thinking: "Alex, wouldn't a vibrant pink tutu make a little too much of a statement in a city with so much history?" Oh honey, if there's one thing Pink Tutu Sparkles knows, it's how to make a grand entrance! I might not wear a pink tutu everywhere, (although, I certainly should consider it... ponders for a moment) but that doesn't mean I'm not going to get my glitter fix!
I already have my eye on a few boutiques with names like "Little Bird Boutique" and "The Curious Shoppe" – oh the intrigue! I imagine them full of quirky fashion finds, statement jewelry, and, of course, some dazzling, fabulous, eye-catching pink accessories for me. Perhaps a pink hair clip to complete the look?
Spinning Into Bliss
And if you thought a trip to York wouldn't involve some graceful pirouettes and a little bit of ballet for your queen, then you don't know me at all! The York Ballet Theatre is simply enchanting! I plan to soak in every minute of their graceful movements, marveling at the delicate beauty of their tulle and shimmering fabrics. Who knows, perhaps their incredible choreography will inspire my next drag performance, oh yes! (Although, with a twist, of course, because a Pink Tutu Sparkles performance wouldn't be complete without some extra sparkle and sass).
Now, since we're all about graceful movement here, it wouldn't be complete without a little mention of how I plan to reach York. You know me, love, I have to travel in style. A beautiful train journey! It's the most elegant way to travel, offering beautiful views, a lovely cafe carriage, and enough room for my amazing, eye-catching pink travel case – stuffed full with more tutus than you can imagine, darlings. But it's not only the convenience of the train, you know, but it allows me to spread the Pink Tutu gospel on my travels. Maybe I'll even be bold and wear a sparkly pink tutu on the train, a true fashion moment! Imagine that, my darling: pink tutu on a train ride. What a vision of loveliness!
