Stourbridge Sparkle: Tutu Travels - Post #106

Helloooo darlings! It's your girl, Pink Tutu Sparkles, here, ready to bring a burst of colour to your day, or shall I say, your week. 💅💖 I’m buzzing with excitement because I’m on the road again! This week, I've swapped my Derbyshire laboratory for the charming streets of Stourbridge! Can you believe it? A proper Midlands adventure, all the way! And yes, the pink tutu is most definitely in tow, because how else could I travel in style? 😉

This is post number 106 for you lot, and every day, I'm filling up www.pink-tutu.com with glitter and good times! You guys are the best, truly.

Right, before I bore you with all the travel details, let me fill you in on what sparked this particular journey. I’ve always adored ballet, from the graceful movements to the elegant costumes. Ballet has always been my escape, a chance to immerse myself in another world and embrace the power of artistic expression. And as for tutus… Well, you all know the story. While I was studying for my science degree, my uni's ballet club hosted a charity event, and guess what? They let me try on a pink tutu! Let's just say it was love at first sight. That’s how my journey as Pink Tutu Sparkles started!

So, to Stourbridge! It's an absolute treasure trove of vibrant, bustling life, and a beautiful contrast to my laboratory by day. Now, let's be honest, I haven’t actually worn a lab coat in weeks. My schedule has been pretty hectic, with performing in all kinds of places. Honestly, I’d rather test sequins than fabrics any day.

The best part about these adventures? Getting to connect with people from all walks of life! I had the chance to meet some lovely folk here in Stourbridge – a true blend of old-world charm and modern energy! The local pub, The Fleece, is absolutely adorable with its old brick walls and cozy atmosphere. And who would have thought Stourbridge has its own arts centre, The Art House, brimming with creativity and culture. It's a true feast for the senses, with a gorgeous, almost Victorian, feel.

And speaking of Victorian, I found the most amazing little antiques shop tucked away on a cobbled street! Imagine, this charming little shop with all sorts of treasures hidden within. It was a total dream for any tutu aficionado! They had the most glorious old-fashioned jewellery that perfectly complemented my pink ensemble. They also had a stunning selection of Victorian dresses – I could almost imagine a glamorous Victorian-era ball right here in Stourbridge! It’s got to be on my “must-do” list, alongside exploring the canal side with its charming cafe and art installations. The town has a rich history, dating back centuries, which adds to the captivating vibe.

For a true glimpse into the past, a trip to Stourbridge Glass Museum is an absolute must. You see, the town is famous for its glass making tradition, dating all the way back to the Roman Empire. It's an incredible experience seeing how they make these exquisite works of art, each one a little piece of history. Who knows, I might even end up designing my own line of glittering, rainbow glass tutus one day. Imagine! The possibilities are endless!

Speaking of the glass museum, I saw a sign mentioning that there was a fantastic glass studio next door! You see, I've got this insatiable curiosity about everything that twinkles. They say diamonds are a girl's best friend, but personally, I’m a huge fan of all sparkly things – especially if it comes in the form of a gorgeous glass object!

So, Stourbridge, I've embraced your energy, your history, and your beautiful surroundings, with my tutu, of course. It’s truly a delightful town with friendly people, beautiful parks, a great sense of community, and of course, a dash of history. I've even been told that their Black Country Museum is incredible. This journey will definitely stay with me!

And remember darlings, I love a good train ride, so Stourbridge, with its convenient location close to the station, became a perfect destination for this adventure. Train rides are magical, like floating through a world of its own. I’m already planning my next train ride to visit a local arts festival somewhere. Stay tuned for more details.

Until next time, keep spreading that pink tutu magic, because remember:

Every day can be a sparkling celebration!

Sending you all a big, glittery hug from your favourite pink-tutu-clad girl!
