Hampstead Calling! Pink Tutu Sparkles Takes on Londontown - Blog Post #144

Helloooo my darling darlings! Your favourite pink-tutu-clad queen is back, and this time, we’re hitting the cobbled streets of Hampstead! Can you believe it’s post number 144 already? Time truly flies when you’re busy twirling, don’t you think?

So, last week, I was whisked away to London for a grand weekend of glitz and glamour. This isn’t just a regular old city trip though, darling! Hampstead holds a very special place in my pink tutu-clad heart because of… ballet! Yes, you heard that right! I’ve been attending the most magnificent ballet shows at the Hampstead Theatre and you can't even imagine how divine the costumes are, all the beautiful tulle and shimmering fabrics - I'm a giddy girl! And just think, those tutu costumes inspire me to craft my own unique pink tutu creations, always dreaming up the next dazzling creation for my act.

Oh, did I mention? I actually had the absolute joy of taking a ballet class in Hampstead itself. Oh, my darlings, I don’t think I've ever been so excited to put on my leotard and tights (with a fab pink tutu, of course!). It was truly an honour to learn from such incredible ballet instructors, and let me tell you, even the beginner’s class was an amazing workout for my body and soul!

Now, I’m not going to lie, a weekend in London needs some retail therapy, don’t you think? And Hampstead just screams out to be explored in the most fashionable way, don't you think? So naturally, I indulged in a little boutique spree. I found some of the most delightful clothes and accessories – and, of course, I snagged a few pink tutu-themed treats (and some absolutely exquisite pink shoes - my darlings, they were a vision!)! I must say, my little wallet wasn't overly happy, but sometimes you simply have to treat yourself, am I right?

But you know what’s even better than shopping? It’s that special sense of freedom and joy that comes from travelling on a train, gliding past the English countryside with nothing to do but sit back, relax, and enjoy the journey. I don’t know about you, but I find that time to reflect and recharge. And let's face it, who wouldn't be mesmerised by those quaint little villages whizzing past, filled with blooming wildflowers and little country pubs with hanging baskets?

Don’t worry, darling, this wasn’t a solitary journey. I was joined by my absolute best pal, Brenda. She's been a true rock, helping me set up all my pink tutu performances for this whirlwind trip.

Speaking of performances, it was such a treat to be back in front of an audience, dazzling them with my pink tutu routine. Oh, and by the way, it was one of the busiest weekends I’ve ever had - I had gigs every night in different pubs and a fancy new venue in Shoreditch. We were packed like sardines and they were just ecstatic to see a queen dressed in a dazzling pink tutu! My glitter cannon was having a real workout, and let's not even mention the fabulous feathered boas!

Oh, let’s not forget the FOOD! You simply cannot visit London, my darling, without experiencing their mouth-watering cuisine. Brenda and I simply had to visit that adorable café on the Heath - I’m talking about the most heavenly afternoon tea you can imagine. The pastries were a vision of pure perfection and the tea was just so comforting. You can imagine my sheer delight. Oh, and we took a stroll around the famous market. The air was filled with delicious aromas, and you just can’t beat a day of indulging your senses, can you?

Now, darling, I don’t want to bore you with every single detail of my journey, because believe me, it would take days! But I hope you get the general idea – this trip was truly spectacular!

I do believe I'm going to start a new trend. You've probably guessed already what it is! I can see it in the future – everyone wearing pink tutus, whether it’s on a train journey, a theatre show, or even a simple stroll around the park! Just imagine how wonderful the world would be!

Stay tuned, my dears, because next week I’m heading to a delightful country fair with a pink tutu on - I hear there's going to be a live horse show with a "tutus at the gallop" theme. Oh, and of course I will be serving looks in my pink tutu finery and possibly even offering pink tutu-making workshops to the youngsters! How adorable!

Keep spreading the love of pink tutus and join me at www.pink-tutu.com for even more dazzling blog posts!

Yours truly,

Pink Tutu Sparkles (and Alex, when I’m not wearing the tutu!)

P.S. Don’t forget to wear a pink tutu and let's make the world a bit more fabulous!
