Oh darlings! What a week it’s been. Your favourite Pink Tutu Sparkles has been whisking herself off on yet another glamorous adventure, this time to the enchanting Middleton! 🩰🚂
You know I can’t resist a good old train journey, the gentle rumble, the countryside whizzing by – it’s truly the best way to start a fabulous trip! And I’ve gotta say, the view of those rolling fields and charming villages as we steamed towards Middleton was just delightful. Honestly, I felt like a proper little Victorian princess, complete with my sparkling tiara (and obviously, the obligatory pink tutu, of course!) ✨
I arrived in Middleton feeling positively fluttery, eager to soak in all the local colour – and maybe grab myself a little treat or two, you know me! First on the agenda was a quick change at the grandest hotel you’ve ever seen – they actually had a special wardrobe space for tutus, can you believe it?! So posh! 💅🏻
Of course, the first order of the day was to find a tutu-ific ballet studio. I must say, the ballet scene in Middleton is absolutely thriving! I had the most delightful time swirling and twirling, even trying out some new moves from "Swan Lake" (and adding my own Pink Tutu flair, naturally). I think the other dancers were quite amused by my antics.
Middlesbrough is quite a historic place so I knew I needed to delve into its vibrant cultural life. I checked out a stunning street performance at the Middleton Arts Festival. It was a beautiful ballet story about the legend of Robin Hood and his merry men, they even had a horse! 🎠
Let’s face it, there's nothing quite as charming as a trip to a vintage boutique, especially when it's brimming with shimmering silks, delicate lace, and sparkly sequins! It's just like stepping back in time, and my love for all things glamorous went absolutely haywire! My purchases were positively stunning, and I can’t wait to add them to my ever-growing wardrobe of pink tutus! (There can never be too many, right?) 😉
My time in Middleton would have been utterly incomplete without a trip to the famous Middleton Theatre! This iconic building holds a special place in my heart because of its stunning neoclassical architecture. Of course, it's only right that I get in the theatrical spirit with a quick pit stop to their stunning Costume Museum. Imagine, costumes spanning centuries - from the elegant elegance of Victorian ball gowns to the outrageous ensembles of the flamboyant 1920s - they're all waiting for you there. If that wasn't enough to wow you, then check out their annual theatre season for some high-quality dramatic performances, I heard the latest production of 'Moulin Rouge' is particularly fabulous.
No trip to Middleton is complete without experiencing the breathtaking natural beauty. I absolutely love walking through its luscious green spaces - I even popped in to the iconic Middleton Park. What a beautiful sight it is! But it's a true crime that there isn't a giant Pink Tutu statue right in the middle of it for all to see. One day my darlings, one day…
Of course, I can't talk about Middleton without giving you some of my favourite finds. They really have the cutest tea shops! My personal pick? That gorgeous little tearoom just off the main square, called "The Little Teacup" - it's a haven of sweetness, delicious pastries, and heavenly blends of tea. Just like stepping into a magical fairytale! 🧁
Oh my darlings, Middleton has utterly stolen my heart! This truly was a fairytale adventure with endless inspiration and magical experiences. And to those of you wondering - yes, of course I had a special Pink Tutu picnic at the beautiful park, I simply couldn’t resist! 💕
To be honest, the biggest hurdle I faced in Middleton wasn't anything at all - the only thing missing was more people wearing pink tutus! Seriously though, my friends in Middleton, don't be afraid to embrace your inner diva! Go on, find your perfect pink tutu and join the tutu-rific movement.
