Llanelli, Oh Llanelli! (Post #188)

Oh, darlings! Can you believe itā€™s already July? Summer is absolutely flying by! But fear not, your Pink Tutu Queen is still here, spreading sparkle and pink wherever I go. And guess where Iā€™ve landed this time? The charming seaside town of Llanelli in Wales!

You see, darlings, this past week has been all about adventure. A few months ago, I saw an advert on the fabulous website ā€˜Gig-a-gogoā€™ for a local music festival needing a fabulous drag act for their grand finale. Oh, darling, you know me ā€“ I couldnā€™t say no! My stage persona, Pink Tutu Sparkles, loves to bring the magic, and that festival certainly needed a healthy dose of that!

Llanelli is a beautiful little town nestled on the Welsh coast, with a heart of gold. My first stop was a quaint little boutique called ā€œTweedle Dee & Dumpling,ā€ full of the most delightful trinkets and vintage fashion, darling. I managed to find a gorgeous little hand-stitched beaded bag that I just had to add to my collection! You canā€™t possibly be a true tutu-lover without the perfect accessories, you see.

Once Iā€™d finished my retail therapy, it was time to get some food. Oh, darling! Llanelli has a real treasure trove of delightful little cafĆ©s, with pastries so sweet theyā€™d make your toes curl.

After a very, very sugary and utterly decadent lunch, I set off to explore Llanelli's coastline. Let me tell you, darlings, it was absolute magic! Itā€™s a truly breathtaking seaside scene, with towering cliffs and crashing waves. It made me want to get back to ballet. Ballet and the sea are just soā€¦romantic!

You know I absolutely love a good ballet class ā€“ even a quick one can leave you feeling so energized, and of course, in those magical tutus, you can almost fly! Ballet is my muse, darling, and as I strutted along the Llanelli promenade, it was all I could think about was putting on my most flamboyant leotard and swirling across the stage! Oh, darling, I think a performance with a sea view would just be divine, don't you?

In the evening, it was time to get glammed up and ready for the big performance. Itā€™s been a while since I did a fair or festival, and let me tell you, darlings, that little thrill just never gets old. Getting dolled up, wig and everything in placeā€¦ well, darling, thereā€™s something truly liberating and magical about the transformation. And, of course, I simply couldn't perform without my fabulous pink tutu. It had sequins, darling, oh so many sequins.

I found myself on a grand stage with a magnificent backdrop and the best music playing. There I was, under the stars and the magical fairy lights, and that was it - pure magic!

The audience just loved the show, darling. They were cheering so loudly you could have heard them back in Derbyshire!

Afterwards, the organisers whisked me away for a post-performance drink ā€“ well, I certainly wasnā€™t going to let them miss out on my amazing tales of a glamorous drag artist from Derbyshire. As I reminisced about the magic of the night, I realised that this truly is the life for me, darling. Spreading sparkle, a little joy and just enough of that pink magic to make everyone feel a little bit more fabulous, and letā€™s face it, the world needs more of that, don't you think?

So until next time, remember darlings, wear a tutu with pride!

Stay fabulous, Pink Tutu Sparkles, xo
