Cramlington Calling! TutuQueen Takes On The North East! (Blog Post #229)

Hello my gorgeous darlings! Your favourite pink-tutu-clad, glitter-bomb-throwing, twirling-tornado of a queen is back, and this time, we're heading north! It's a bit of a train journey, mind you, but nothing a good book and a comfy seat can't handle (plus, the scenery is rather delightful, wouldn't you say?). But let's get back to the real reason we're here... Cramlington, you beauty, I'm coming for you!

Now, you know I love a good adventure, and this time it's a little different. I'm on a mission! A sparkly, shimmering, and entirely pink mission. You see, darling, I've got this little dream, this tiny goal that's been bubbling inside me like a pot of bubbling pink potion. You see, I want the world to be awash in tutus. Pink tutus, of course!

It all started when I was studying... well, imagine this, darling: a science degree. You might think that's not a typical tutu-wearing scenario, but believe me, when I had the opportunity to dress up for a university fundraiser in a fluffy pink tutu, it felt like I'd discovered my destiny! From that moment on, I knew my life was meant for shimmering tulle, glitzy gowns, and endless spins. And wouldn't you know, my day job testing fabrics in a lab suddenly felt way more fun. Who knew the science of textiles and tulle could be so intertwined?

So, back to Cramlington. This isn't just about a performance, darlings, this is about spreading the pink tutu love. It's about making people smile, about seeing those jaws drop as I sashay onto the stage (or into a pub, or onto a train, really... tutus work anywhere!), and about reminding everyone that it's okay to embrace your inner fabulousness. Because when you twirl in a pink tutu, you become a princess, you become a goddess, you become pure magic!

But before we get to the glitter and the glamour, let's chat about the journey.

My travels usually involve trains, of course! The sheer joy of zipping through the countryside in a sleek carriage is something I truly cherish. Imagine: a cup of tea (pink, naturally), a good book (probably about ballet), and the scenery blurring by outside, just as the lines of my life began to blur when I discovered my calling as Pink Tutu Sparkles. But this trip had an extra layer of magic – I had the most fantastic opportunity to take a ride on a horse! Now, some might say it's a little unusual for a queen in a tutu to ride a horse, but when the chance arose, well, how could I refuse? I must confess, I felt a little bit like a modern-day fairy princess (in pink, of course).

You'll be laughing to learn that my horse, who shall remain nameless, decided to give me a rather surprising surprise. I don't think horses were quite designed for a tutu! Just a touch of pink fabric under my backside is apparently a bit of a distraction! That’s when I knew I had to share it with the world... My beautiful horse couldn't resist trying to nibble on my tutu while we were on our ride, making for an extremely embarrassing experience. (But in a fun, and incredibly cute way, because of course my outfit has no intention of going off-brand! But still… )

Thankfully, we're all still alive to tell the tale (and yes, I'm still in one piece!), so onto the performance! I'm actually excited to be performing at a new venue in Cramlington. It's a little smaller than the usual big stages, but you know me, darlings, I'll work any space, any crowd! And anyway, who needs a giant venue when you've got a fabulous pink tutu to capture everyone's attention?

Now, what shall I wear? Hmmm... Let's see… maybe a beautiful ruffled gown, or a glamorous top with some dazzling sequins, paired with my trusty, ever-reliable pink tulle, of course! After all, a tutu always knows how to take the spotlight. And what better way to make everyone happy than by throwing some glitter around, doing a little dance, and sharing some smiles? (But if you need me to take it down a notch for a little bit… I mean, not a big step, it's still Pink Tutu Sparkles we’re talking about – let me know!). I may be travelling from Derbyshire, but let's just say that once Pink Tutu Sparkles gets into the spirit of the North East, even a queen's gotta loosen up a little!

There will, of course, be plenty of chances to chat, take photos, and maybe even grab a bit of sparkly magic yourself (think of those special pink TutuQueen accessories!).

I have this fantastic idea for my show. This isn’t going to be a usual performance, we're going to get interactive! Imagine the joy, the sparkle, the joy of dancing together, a chorus of twirling tutus! It's a truly beautiful vision! I know you all will love it. Because even if you haven't discovered the magical world of pink tutus, let me assure you: there's always time! Just remember, the magic of life isn't in what you do, it’s about wearing your own inner tutu – sparkly and fierce!

So come on down, you lovely lot! Join me in Cramlington, where we'll raise a glass of bubbly and celebrate the power of tutus, the magic of friendship, and the sheer joy of being fabulous. Because life, my darlings, is simply too short to be anything but fabulous!

I can't wait to see you all there. Now, if you'll excuse me, my pink luggage is ready to be packed with some stunning gowns, even more sparkling tutus (yes, really!), and of course, an endless supply of glitter, because the show must go on, and a pink TutuQueen just can't travel without it!

Until then, keep those smiles bright, and never be afraid to embrace your own sparkle, my darlings! And don’t forget: if you don’t wear a pink tutu, you just aren’t truly alive! ;)

With love and lots of glitter,
