Norwich: A Pink Tutu Paradise! ✨💖🩰

Hello darlings! It's your favourite pink-loving tutu queen, Pink Tutu Sparkles, here with blog post number 277, direct from the cobbled streets of Norwich! This delightful city has been a whirlwind of colour and sparkle, and you know what that means? It’s time for a Pink Tutu Sparkle extravaganza!

Now, as you all know, this week's journey began with a little bit of train travel. Nothing beats a good old-fashioned train journey, especially when you're rocking your favourite pink tutu and matching pink sunglasses. I swear, it turns every train carriage into a personal runway, and let me tell you, the fellow passengers couldn't get enough of it! They kept giving me these delighted looks and nodding appreciatively. You could just see them thinking, “Yes, girl, live your best life in that tutu!”. It’s my personal mission, you know, to get everyone feeling as confident and radiant as I do in my pink tulle.

We arrived in Norwich on the stroke of midday and oh my gosh, this place is truly a delight. The city's charming medieval streets are like a dream! They have beautiful brickwork, quirky shops and even more charming pubs and cafés – a true delight for the eyes. Did you know, Norwich has been the largest city in England for a whole 600 years?! Who would’ve guessed?

I was delighted to find out that Norwich is famous for its historic connection to the dance world! This vibrant city was home to the legendary Sir Frederick Ashton, one of ballet’s greatest choreographers. It truly made me excited to dance my own way around this city – after all, you just know the cobblestone streets are crying out for a little ballet.

But first, lunch! And no trip is complete without a delicious afternoon tea. I discovered this beautiful tearoom nestled in the heart of the city, the ‘Fussy Duck Tearoom’, where they served the most exquisite sandwiches and cakes! All washed down with a pot of the most lovely Earl Grey.

After stuffing myself silly with scrumptious snacks, I couldn’t wait to go on a proper Norwich city adventure. I grabbed myself a map (that had a beautifully detailed, yet charmingly faded, image of the city - love the old-school feel), put on my fanciest pink hat and headed towards Norwich’s cathedral.

As I stepped into the soaring heights of Norwich Cathedral, I was completely blown away. This historical marvel has got to be the grandest place in Norwich, and honestly, it’s got to be seen to be believed. I just love the juxtaposition of the sheer architectural power of the cathedral and its timeless charm – it really makes me appreciate all the generations that came before us. I also learned that Norwich Cathedral was one of the first to install a carillon (a set of tuned bells, which makes the whole place feel incredibly ethereal. Imagine this gorgeous pink tutu dancing with a thousand musical bells!) I’ve already downloaded a ton of videos on TikTok showing off the amazing musical skills of the Norwich Cathedral carilloneurs, what a treat. It was like watching the entire city hum to a mystical melody!

By the time I walked out, the golden evening light had cast its magical glow across the city. Norwich is just so charming at this time of day! With my shopping list ready (pink frilly socks are on top), I found a delightful spot in a local craft shop full of all the best treasures! Let’s just say, the next few weeks at Pink Tutu HQ are going to be absolutely bursting with a vibrant pink makeover. It’s going to be glorious, darlings.

For my last day, I took myself to the Norfolk and Norwich Festival theatre to take in the magical atmosphere and enjoy an exhilarating night of entertainment! I met the most charming folk (you never know where you might find a future Pink Tutu enthusiast), and the atmosphere in the theatre was just buzzing with energy and anticipation.

My last night in Norwich concluded with the perfect pink ending! A delightful little wine bar in the heart of the city with the most stunning selection of cocktails. I, of course, had to indulge in something with a pink hue (you didn't think I was going to deviate, did you?). But honestly, this cocktail was a complete delight, I couldn’t stop talking about how refreshing it was!

The evening concluded with me taking to the stage! It’s something that I find particularly wonderful about travelling, even to little corners of the world – there’s always someone somewhere who would love to see a sparkly tutu perform! So there I was, with my favourite pink tutu and sparkling make-up, entertaining the locals with all the newest hits (and, of course, a few showstopping pink tutu moves!) The energy from the crowd was electric! I think this little Norfolk town had fallen in love with the colour pink. It always amazes me how much joy we can spread with a little bit of sparkly enthusiasm, a playful heart and, of course, a fabulous pink tutu!

Now, off to my next destination! I've got to keep this pink tutu dream going, and who knows what new sparkly adventures await on the horizon? Don't forget to follow me on Pink-Tutu.com and join me on my next colourful escapade!

Stay sassy, darlings! ✨💖
