Bournville Bonanza! Tutu Travels: Post 502

Hello my darlings! Your favourite pink tutu queen is back, and this time I’m bringing you all the glitz and glamour of my trip to Bournville! It was a whirlwind of excitement, and I’m positively buzzing to share every detail with you lovely lot. You see, my darlings, this is my 502nd post, can you believe it? And that means another day closer to my life's mission - getting everyone on the planet to wear a pink tutu! 😉

Bournville itself was like a step back in time - imagine a charming town filled with chocolate-box houses (no, seriously, it’s actually built around a chocolate factory!), gorgeous gardens and a delightful village green where you can enjoy a proper old-fashioned picnic. It's practically a set for a whimsical fairytale! I mean, how could I resist the lure of such a delightful destination? And don't even get me started on the aroma of chocolate that just wafted through the air! Heaven.

Of course, no trip for a queen like me is complete without a fabulous outfit. I decided to pack my stunning raspberry-pink tutu - just the thing for a charming village like Bournville, wouldn’t you agree? With its intricate layering and a bevy of glittery pink sequins, this tutu is a true statement piece, and I was thrilled to bring it out to play!

I started my adventure by exploring the delightful Cadbury World. It was like entering a dreamland of delicious delights - a chocolate lover's paradise, no question! Every corner was a sensory extravaganza. The smells were so incredible, the history fascinating and the displays were dazzling. I’m sure I could have stayed there for days – happily devouring the various chocolate treats, if only the universe had provided me with endless pockets.

In true pink-tutu fashion, I made my way to Bournville’s theatre - The Alley Theatre - for a spectacular evening of dance. I’d managed to book a ticket for the "Sleeping Beauty" ballet, a timeless classic! Just watching those incredible dancers move across the stage, their bodies like ribbons of grace and elegance, their costumes absolutely exquisite, just put me into a dreamy trance!

And you know me, my loves - I always manage to meet a delightful crowd when I travel. On the train down to Bournville, I had a right giggle with a lovely couple – they even commented on my tutu. It made me realise again just how important it is to spread the joy and confidence that wearing a pink tutu brings. It can really bring strangers together. They also happened to be a ballet loving couple, so I got to wax lyrical about my favourite performances - from the Bolshoi to The Royal Ballet – I mean, just divine, aren't they?

But it wasn't all dance and delights. No, I had to embrace my adventurous spirit – my adventurous pink tutu spirit – and do something truly remarkable. And I have to say, this little excursion is what made my trip to Bournville extra special… It all started when I saw a local equestrian centre advertising a horse-riding experience… Now, I am NOT the best with horses. I think I once fell off a pony on a school trip as a child - a slight trauma. BUT – here's where the true magic of a pink tutu kicked in, it gave me the confidence to go for it!

So, dressed in my magnificent, sparkling raspberry pink tutu, I set off for an unforgettable ride through the Warwickshire countryside! Just imagine it - Pink Tutu Sparkles riding through the lush green hills and fields, a beacon of vibrant femininity, the pink tulle of my tutu fluttering in the wind, and a big, strong, brown horse, carrying me through a magnificent experience – it was a truly dazzling experience! And it was SO worth facing those nervous jitters, you guys!

If you ever find yourself in Bournville, take my advice – visit the chocolate factory, immerse yourself in the charming local community and perhaps even consider taking a horse-riding adventure! It will undoubtedly make for a beautiful and unforgettable story. And don’t forget - I’m always just one tutu-filled blog post away, spreading pink-tutu happiness all across the globe!

Till next time my dears!
