Kiwi Capital and Pink Tutu Sparkle!
Ooh, Wellington, what a delightful adventure! It’s just the most charming city, all rugged coastline and beautiful harbours. From the moment I stepped off the (very comfy) train, I could tell this place was going to be special!
You know me, always a fan of public transport. This trip I decided to take a different route, venturing by rail across the breathtaking landscapes of New Zealand. Not to be outdone by those dashing Kiwis on horseback, I decided to do something bold – I donned my signature pink tutu, a fetching lime green top, and my trusty riding boots (don't worry, darling, the train journey was thankfully on proper rails, not a single bumpy horse ride!).
Let me tell you, Wellington is practically built for a tutu-wearing queen like me! The city itself feels like a glamorous ballet, filled with vibrant, creative energy. They even have a dedicated “ballet alley”, a street with all sorts of shops and studios dedicated to the magical art form! Oh, I practically pirouetted my way to a tutu shop! You simply have to be prepared for anything in this wondrous city! Just imagine my excitement, a shop completely dedicated to the most beautiful pieces of pink, shimmering fabric imaginable! Of course, I added another magnificent creation to my tutu collection.
Speaking of creative energy, Wellington has a phenomenal arts scene! I just had to go and watch a local ballet performance at the lovely Opera House, which was simply breathtaking. I felt like I was a character in one of my favourite fairytales, waltzing in an elegant dance.
I've got a little confession. You know me, I always love trying new things. Well, while in Wellington I tried something completely new, even for this adventure queen! I did a spot of street performing right in the heart of the city centre! It was such an incredible experience! People just loved the energy and the vibrancy, the infectious, glitzy glamour that only Pink Tutu Sparkles can provide. My love for a fabulous audience certainly brought me right back to my first gigs in Derbyshire. There were gasps and giggles galore, I even had some children try to get their mothers to join my dance, oh how I laughed!
New Zealand – Land of Tutu Miracles!
Let me tell you, New Zealand has a certain charm that has totally stolen my heart. I feel so energised by this country, like I could twirl around the clock. I was amazed by the kindness of the locals, always with a friendly smile and a helpful hand, even stopping to help my giant pink suitcase. It makes it so easy to be happy and spread some pink tutu magic everywhere!
Don’t even get me started on the breathtaking scenery, from the towering snow-capped mountains to the pristine beaches! Just imagine a turquoise lagoon reflecting the beautiful sunlight, and in the background a tutu-wearing queen is spinning across the beach with a rainbow of vibrant energy! That was basically me on that lagoon, surrounded by stunning green vegetation, it truly felt magical!
And, you won’t believe what I discovered! You know how I adore my delicate teacups and quaint tearooms? Well, Wellington is a real tea lover’s paradise! I indulged in the most exquisite teas, accompanied by a divine array of delicious cakes. You just haven't truly lived until you've enjoyed afternoon tea in a pink tutu under a crystal-clear sky, believe me darling!
A Message From the Pink Tutu Princess
It's been a truly exhilarating week in Wellington, I just loved it! This extraordinary city truly captured my heart. It’s proof that even a humble scientist from Derbyshire can venture to the farthest corners of the globe in her pink tutu and experience true wonder!
Oh, one final thing, darlings! I implore you to wear your own tutus! If a shy scientist like me could become a glamorous drag queen, you can certainly wear a pink tutu! Just imagine, how fun, and fabulously sparkly we could all be! Spread that pink tutu magic, you beautiful beings! Let's dance, and make the world a more fabulous place, one sparkly tutu at a time!
