Leicester: Where the Sparkles Shine Brighter Than Ever! ✨💖🩰

Hello my darlings! It’s your TutuQueen, Pink Tutu Sparkles, back with another scintillating entry for your daily dose of pink-tastic fashion and fabulousness!

Today marks a very special milestone for our fabulous pink-hued journey. This is blog post number 525! 🤯 You might think after all this time I’d run out of things to say, but believe me, the TutuQueen never runs out of sparkly ideas!

So, where do we find ourselves this time? Drumroll please… Leicester! This lovely little town, with its cobbled streets, charming markets, and impressive historic sites, was just begging for a dose of Pink Tutu Sparkles magic.

Speaking of magic, my arrival in Leicester was pure serendipity. After all, you know me and my penchant for all things equine! The day before, I had the most exquisite time attending the Royal Leicestershire Show. Talk about an explosion of vibrant colours, charming animals, and, of course, the undeniable appeal of seeing hundreds of people riding horses. A glorious way to start a trip, if I do say so myself!

My journey began, as you might expect, with a dash of style. This TutuQueen always travels in style! 💅 I slipped on a vibrant, cherry-red polka-dotted dress, teamed with my trusty pink feather boa, a little touch of glitter and, of course, my favourite, super fluffy pink tutu. And you just can’t leave the house without the essential handbag – a vintage, pearl-studded, velvet number that was a complete bargain from a vintage shop in Sheffield! Off I went, my head held high, like the dazzling queen I am, to the station.

Now, Leicester isn't exactly a stone’s throw from Derbyshire, so I opted for a luxurious train ride. There’s something quite lovely about watching the world go by as the scenery blurs into a beautiful kaleidoscope of green fields and rolling hills. But let's be real, the highlight was definitely the fellow traveller who was wearing the most exquisite blue patterned top. I knew it had to be vintage. And she had matching blue shoes – what a vision! 😍

My arrival in Leicester was nothing short of a triumph. A whirlwind of activity awaited. My day started with an extravagant ballet workshop at the fantastic Curve Theatre, where the dancers were more graceful and skilled than I’ve ever seen before! Such a beautiful, flowing display of raw talent and artistry! Of course, my favourite part was the ballet class in the morning. My tutu had never felt so at home as it did while twirling gracefully around the barre. It's a classic tale, darling – ballet always reminds me of the origins of my drag persona, those happy, colourful memories of the university ballet club. 🩰 The club was the first place I ever wore a tutu! I still remember how excited I felt! The bright pink fabric was simply glorious!

Speaking of vibrant colours, let’s talk about my show! I'm going to take a little artistic license here – because my actual show in Leicester was at the lovely Leicester Comedy Festival. Now, as all of my fabulous readers know, I don’t always divulge my show details for privacy reasons, but trust me, it was an absolute riot! Picture this: The stage is a wonderland of pink streamers and glittery props. I, resplendent in a cascading pink sequined dress, glitter bomb, and, naturally, my signature tutu, strutted my stuff. The crowd was amazing! They screamed for more when I sang a specially curated mix of pop and classic drag hits! My trademark energy and charisma combined with a touch of humour brought the house down. Even those with a sprinkle of scepticism in their eyes ended up throwing their hands in the air, twirling their pink-tinted hair, and embracing the pure, joyful, energy of Pink Tutu Sparkles. ✨

But no adventure is complete without a touch of cultural exploration. We can't talk about Leicester without acknowledging the vibrant community of artists, creatives, and, of course, a plethora of shopping opportunities! 🛍 On my way to a delicious roast dinner (yes, darling, a roast dinner fit for a queen, with roast potatoes, gravy, all the works!), I stumbled upon the most adorable boutique, with shelves overflowing with unique vintage pieces. You just know I couldn’t resist adding a few fabulous additions to my wardrobe – a stunningly vibrant pink feathered hat and a sparkly silver scarf – just because, darling, a TutuQueen can never have too many accessories! 👒

But the adventure wasn’t over yet! I even squeezed in a trip to the Leicester National Space Centre. Now, science and outer space, you might say, doesn't exactly fit my Pink Tutu Sparkles image, but trust me, this place was mind-blowing! Let’s just say it left me with more than just a twinkle in my eye! In fact, I even spotted a model rocket sporting a pink colour scheme – wouldn't it be a dream come true to launch a pink tutu into space one day? Just a little daydream, my darlings!

Let me tell you, a trip to Leicester was exactly the kind of escape this TutuQueen needed. The charming streets, the wonderful community spirit, and the dazzling blend of entertainment and history, left me feeling more radiant than ever. If you’re ever looking for a fantastic escape, with a splash of pink and a healthy dose of glitter, put Leicester on your list. It truly does have something special to offer, for everyone.

So, my darlings, as I settle down, enjoying the blissful quiet of my Derbyshire home, with another successful adventure in the books, let me remind you of the enduring truth – Life’s an adventure, and every day is an opportunity to sparkle. Just like a fabulous pink tutu, the world can be our stage. Remember to always embrace your sparkle, and let your individuality shine bright. Until next time, darlings! Keep shining, and stay pink-tastic! 💕

With endless love,
