Hiya lovelies! It’s your favourite pink tutu-wearing queen, Pink Tutu Sparkles, reporting live from the fabulous city of Milan! 💋 As you all know, I’m absolutely obsessed with travel, and a girl's gotta get her fix of exploring new and exciting places. And trust me, Milan is definitely ticking all the right boxes for me!
Before we get to the sparkly highlights, let me tell you about the journey! I love the romanticism of travelling by train, so I opted for a leisurely journey through the rolling countryside of Europe. I packed my trusty pink travel bag, filled to the brim with sequins, feather boas, and, of course, my fabulous tutus! You can never be too prepared, darling!
The scenery was absolutely divine. Rolling green hills, charming villages, and a few sneaky glimpses of majestic snow-capped mountains. It was the perfect setting to unleash my inner ballerina! 🩰 I did, of course, have to indulge in a little ballet practice in the train carriage – after all, a girl’s gotta keep her twirls honed!
Arriving in Style
When I finally stepped off the train in Milan, I was struck by the vibrant energy and stunning architecture. Everywhere I looked there were sleek buildings, gorgeous fountains, and of course, the most divine shops! Honestly, darling, I think my head might have exploded! 🤯
Milan is, after all, known as the fashion capital of Italy, and it’s truly a haven for a fashion-obsessed queen like me. I wasted no time in diving into the boutiques, hunting for some gorgeous pink treasures! The Italian designers have such an exquisite eye for detail and a passion for fabulous fabrics – it was like a dream come true!
I even had a go at haggling in Italian! Well, mostly, it involved pointing at things, saying “bello!” with lots of hand gestures and hoping for the best. You wouldn’t believe how far a smile and a pink tutu can get you, darlings!
Taking in the Culture
But Milan is more than just shopping, my dears! I discovered a side to this city that truly charmed my heart. I took a romantic walk through the peaceful public gardens, where the sun streamed through the trees and the air was alive with birdsong. And, of course, I made a pilgrimage to the Teatro alla Scala, one of the most renowned opera houses in the world. I mean, every fabulous drag queen needs a dose of opera in their life!
And then there was the ballet! Milan, as a true centre of art, has several ballet schools and performances throughout the year. I’ve already booked tickets for a special show at the Teatro degli Arcimboldi, featuring one of my favourite ballerinas, Valentina. I’m absolutely bursting with excitement!
Spreadin’ the Tutu Love
Being a drag queen, of course, involves performing! I had the absolute pleasure of entertaining at a beautiful rooftop bar, perched high above the city. My outfit? Well, darling, let’s just say it involved a magnificent pink tutu, a glittery sequined top, and some fabulous pink feather boas! The crowd went wild! You see, it’s a mission of mine to inspire everyone to embrace their inner tutu queen, so when I strutted onto the stage in my dazzling pink finery, it was a sight to behold!

My days in Milan were filled with breathtaking experiences, from sipping espressos in stylish cafes to exploring ancient churches. And let's not forget all those delectable Italian treats! From perfectly creamy gelato to the most amazing pizza - it’s enough to make a queen's heart sing!
It was definitely an adventure for the memory books, and I can’t wait to share more of my travels with you!
